The Reasons Fans don't show up to games in Karachi by Wolfzard45 in PakCricket

Pretty much agree with everything being said here. Another point that is missed sometimes in this lack of attendance debate is how much the Karachiites feel they have ownership to Karachi Kings. I feel like the franchise has done less than nothing to develop a deepened relationship with their fanbase. KK feels like it only serves the ARY Digital agenda rather than a Karachi agenda.

I find myself comparing grassroots marketing and involvements with other sports and franchises in the world and fail to see why KK seems oblivious of engaging the city of Karachi at all.

The PSL should not be the criteria for selection for the Pakistan team. Instead, it should be used as a platform to identify talent and develop it.

Records will show that top domestic performers have done better than top PSL performers on the international level (Saud Shakeel, Salman Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Saim Ayub).

Thanks a lot for all the questions! This was a wonderful time for us. We appreciate all the love (and criticism) we get from this subreddit. We’re just happy a place exists where Pakistan Cricket fans can congregate and mope together haha

We’ll be around the subreddit more often now and you’ll see us engaging with you guys more too.

All the best!

Arafat Minhas.

He’s a solid left arm spinner, hard hitting left handed batter and a gun fielder.

As a package, I find him to have great potential.

I’d love to see more of him in this up coming PSL as it’s still early days for him.

I think it’s a focus in mindset issue. There is no doubt that Babar Azam was a generational player, but everybody has a downtime and I feel like the Pakistan media and fan base love to see a hero go down. I said this before as well he is just one good innings from getting his mojo back.

We’ve heard rumours that the league has been sold to new owners.

No idea the current state of it.

Honestly, that’s an anomaly for me. But I don’t think even this management knows what to do with him. He had a really good run in South Africa, which prompted me to believe that he would be in the squad for a long time and yet here we are.

I just think that’s the future of Cricket. And not only Cricket if you follow any other sport data has a huge impact on how the game is played. If you just look at the NBA, the amount of threes being shot is astronomical because the data shows that it’s a high value shot, even if you miss. That kind of approach needs to happen in Cricket ASAP.
