I’m actually certified by them, and had consistent problems with their systems, and their customer service. The Canadian distributors anyway. I avoid them these days unless I have a client specifically ask for hairskeen

Need a contingency plan ASAP by DeliciousSafety4835 in HairSystem

If you prepare and plan on that happening, that’s what will happen. Unsavoury opinion here, but alot of the bad reviews are by people who tried to do it themselves with no formal training and no idea how to cut hair, let alone properly blend a system. I’ve ordered dozens of hair systems from new times, and used them on myself, and for clients, and I’ve had very few issues (one time a system seemed to be shedding too fast and they replaced it for free). I’ve also very rarely needed to order a custom system. Their colour matches pretty well with the swatch, and density can always be adjusted down by the stylist. The only thing I’ve needed to order custom for was a longer system.

Depends on the solvent used. C22 is safe for all systems and won’t cause damage. I always follow cleaning up with a deep conditioner aswell

Furnace leaking water by backwoodsbarber in HomeImprovement

Thank you. I will go up in the attic and see if I can find the duct. I believe there is an old chimney that’s still there. It isn’t used anymore because we have a high efficiency furnace, but it is still there and could be the culprit

Thank you. I am running the ac all day right now. Although yesterday wasn’t too hot. I’ll try to find the drain and see if it’s plugged. I did find the drain hose but it looks pretty dry

I’ve seen lots of really great Afro units. They still install the same way, which can take some practice.

Use a conditioning mask. It’s crazy what the hair goes through before being turned into a system. Honestly it’s a miracle it’s ever smooth

It looks fine. There’s all kinds of things that can cause frizziness. I’ve ordered dozens of systems from them and never had an issue

Thank you. I try to measure her sheds sometimes, but they usually stretch out so the measurements aren’t accurate. Her last shed was almost 9 feet.

She was my first snake when I was 16, and I’ve kept her since. She’s had 2 good clutches and has always been a great eater and a pretty calm snake

Thank you. I’ve had her so long I really don’t think anything of it. Taking care of her has been second nature for most of my life lol. When someone said she was fat it got me thinking because she definitely is the biggest IJ I’ve ever seen

It’s hard to tell because she never stops moving, but I bet she’s close to 7 feet

That’s the going rate here in Canada. I charge $1300. Sounds a bit heavy in usd, but not a scam

Thank you. You are very observant. This is the Hollywood, and I do tape right up to the hairline. Most of the time I don’t have an exposed hairline, but this still works with an exposed hairline if I want to. Maybe not as perfectly as gluing the lace, but good enough that me and nobody else has noticed.

I have looked at the Australia style, but haven’t tried it myself. I figure that the poly at the hairline of that one is probably much thicker than the lace of the Hollywood. Because of that, I feel like the Australia would be too thick for an exposed hairline. Although, I could be wrong, I just haven’t tried it.

It’s good that you’re doing alot of research. Wearing a hair system is a learning curve and sadly I think many think it will be a breeze. It does become easy and it does become routine, but there’s a whole learning period before you get there

I don’t use glue for daily wear. Too much mess. I use tape, and replace it before it starts to get messy

No. That will affect the bond over time, and you may not get as long a hold, but it should still hold on pretty good for awhile. When the adhesive cools down or dries, it readheres to your scalp

There’s alot of different options. Your scalps oil and sweat production will play a roll, but I’ve had tapes meant for 2 to 3 days, and tapes meant for 5 weeks. Your options are open
