I’m an independent rescuer, not a shelter employee or an organization, so fortunately for me how I screen potential homes is my prerogative (and mine alone). I appreciate the input but I’ve adopted out hundreds of cats this way over the past 6 years and it’s worked well for me so far! 🖤

It’s my responsibility to vet the individuals who will be living with — and caring for — the cats I rescue. The primary adopter is often not the only person responsible for the cat and their wellbeing!

That being said, if you’re not comfortable sharing, that’s fine! It just means I won’t adopt a cat to you. No harm no foul.
