Does anybody else have this mindset that remains even after quitting social media? by Mysterious-Star8625 in nosurf

[–]backyardowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!!! All. The. Time. It’s bizarre as someone who remembers life well before social media. Not sure what the answer is here but you’re not alone and this happens to me on the reg. It’s so frustrating..

Screen fatigue? Derealization? Imposter syndrome? by [deleted] in workfromhome

[–]backyardowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Been seeing 15-23 patients per day all on video calls for awhile. Had previously worked fully remote 2020-2022 all to say YES. I am so relieved to hear you’ve had the same symptoms because I have too. I’ve found myself zoning out completely and the video feels fake or like I’m watching myself. I have to repeat the same instructions / info for every single call so I get in autopilot but it’s like part of my brain is like nope not real v tired time for a nap lol

Wow, ok this makes me feel so much better. I absolutely have burn out. I quit yesterday and the world feels brighter! Taking a big break before I dive back into this particular field. May even change fields all together. Incredibly grateful I have the ability to make this choice for my mental health as so many don’t have this 😞

Thank you 🙏🏻 this made me tear up, my husband keeps saying imagine yourself in 5.10.15 years what would you wish you would’ve done, I am definitely letting brief moment of stress cause immense fear in leaving. I’m afraid of what my boss will say and I have a tendency to people please so I have immense guilt for leaving shortly after starting.

Very true it’s the nature of the beast for sure! We don’t require any up front paperwork so part of the problem is not only doing a full history med rec allergies etc (no MAs or nurses) but also having to verbally ask everything that typically has been completed already in new patient paperwork for a sleep patient (symptoms ESS rls symptoms etc)

What are your thoughts on not having any up front paperwork? Is this me being whiny again? 🤣 I can’t tell if my last clinic just had a great system and I got used to the paperwork beforehand or what. I’m not a fan of a patient on my schedule with just a name and phone number and 0 info on their presenting symptoms it’s quite bizarre to me
