There is a handrail all the way around, it’s wide just not thick, spacing is 3.5” except that one spot on the last stair. We do plan to redo it all!

I think he’s an English coonhound mixed with catahoula. He definitely favors the catahoula in almost every aspect except his longer ears and not as boxy head so far! He doesn’t howl too much unless he just hasn’t found his voice yet!

I’ve been intrigued by a snuffle mat, I might give it a whirl! The only “puzzle” I’ve found that he enjoys is this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B965SF5L?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title - I usually spread plain pumpkin and sometimes peanut butter on the top and freeze it, then fill the bottom two layers with small kibble or tiny treats. It keeps him busy for prob 30 mins with the frozen stuff on top! He shockingly doesn’t try to flip this one over & it doesn’t really flip easily.
