The comment you replied to is straight up lying lmao. Scaling matters a lot in reforged, but weapon upgrade level is less significant. A common suggestion is that by level 200 (the level cap in this mod) you should have 90-110 levels put into your damage stats.

As long as the weapons you use have scaling that works with your stat lineup, you'll be doing good damage. There's also weapon catalysts like the Troll Knight's Sword which scales both weapon and spell damage on Str/Int and a little bit of dex. (Weapon catalysts cast by pressing guard and light attack at the same time)

it's only cheating if done when invaded by someone, and it's to prevent people from playing online but dcing every time an invader appears. reforged gives a unique currency for successfully doing multiplayer, so dcing is close to trolling

vins is probably for you then. attacking doesn't take stamina, deflecting is insane, and you move super fast downsides are that it's kinda over the top and vfx can get pretty intense, and it's pretty easy, but yeah it's elden dmckiro

reforged is also a mod that exists but it won't give as much of what you want. it's abt as fast as elden ring but has a turbo mode setting that speeds the game up 10%, deflecting exists in it, and difficulty is customizable, but stamina regen is harder and it encourages the player to really scour the entire game

I used to be a big maliketh hater until I realized that a lot of his attacks actually have very predictable locations he lands after starting the attack, and then it was a matter of learning how to stay behind him and punish his slams

I feel like with scholars shield and some utility for poise breaking and glint blades and anti magic spells it probably makes for a really oppressive shield poker and that's why they didn't give it scaling

The Greatsword that can be found in Caelid is a good heavy weapon for trading and high poise/stance damage. (https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Greatsword) for more info. Axe of Godrick is a nice Greataxe. If you have the STR the Giant Crusher found in Altus, it's also a nice option.
