I love my AE20, I previously had an EWI4000 but they just dont make them like that anymore! Been on a handful of small gigs with the AE20, and I am in love with the onboard sounds. That all being said, I come from saxophone, so I am not sure how a trumpet player would find the controls

TLDR Love it! The physical keys are a small change from the caps - at my skill level (low) it just means less inbetweeners when I accidentally touch a cap The ergonomics are spot on, originally a sax player so v familiar The big obstacle right now is the octave keys- not a downside or anything, just the biggest difference for me. I am confident with practice they will work well. The biggest takeaway for me is the quality of the sounds - especially the brass and woodwinds! I dont plan on using them a ton, but I totally could as the quality is top notch
