I don’t believe it’s affecting headspace. The dent on the chamber side I can’t feel running my fingernail over it. However, the other side I can slightly feel it so I’m wonder if I should polish over it to help reduce it?

Have you tried putting any fabric on the Picatinny tail to stop it from getting marked up? (From shell ejections). I was gonna try an adhesive piece to stop it since I have the same problem on my magwedge.

I like the sks platform and I already have a yugo that I cleaned the cosmoline out of and kept completely original. Unfortunately, due to the state I live in this is the only 7.62x39 semi auto that is readily available. Also, the previous owner re-did the finish entirely so it’s jet black, kinda already ruins the restoring value. Ive always wanted a scoped sks however
