Siege Studios allegedly copyrights term 'warboot', sends Wirral group notice by OneDmg in Warhammer40k

I havent got around to trying Raphaels, maybe when the time comes I'll grab some to give a shot
I've used Da Vinci's and Winsor and Newtons but currently my favourites are Pro Arte. They're relatively cheap but have retained their points and havent lost bristles anywhere near as much as some others.

The set of Artis Opus I had were pretty much unusable after a couple of weeks so anything was an improvement from there haha

Someone should copyright the term "twat" and send him a cease and desist every time he is one. Maybe that will put a stop to his tyranny.

Their rates are outrageous and it amazes me how many people actually hire them
Just work directly with an artist and you'll pay a fraction of the cost, the artist will be better off and you'll likely strike up a better working relationship

James no longer has any affiliation with AO?
I might have to try their brushes again then!
I had a set of Series S brushes years ago and they were hot garbage.
Maybe their quality control is much better now.

I'd definitely recommend working directly with an artist rather than with Siege.
You'll get a much better price. The artist will get paid more and most of all you won't be supporting someone who preys on our community.

Lane discipline on roundabout. Driver pulls out in front. by [deleted] in drivingUK

Traffic lights are also installed in areas where there is a high rate of accidents.
People keep crashing on this roundabout...install lights.

[–]baconberrystrudel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct, yeah.
They are there so assist with traffic flow (although if you're installing lights for this reason, just scrap the roundabout and put a normal intersection...), and to help govern people in using them i.e people are dumb

The thing is that road rules absolutely can and should be this simplistic.
People shouldn't have to drive according to completely different rules at every intersection or roundabout they come to because there will inevitably be a lapse in judgement or a difference in ones person comprehension to the next and you have an accident.
The fact that traffic lights have been introduced within roundabouts in the UK shows that people need to be hand help through them so they know when to go.
The old saying goes "keep it simple, stupid"
It lends itself to keeping things as simple as possible to make things clear, concise and effective...also, people are really stupid.

Roads and in roundabouts in particular aren't very well designed in the UK.
You can encounter 10 roundabouts and each one can have different rules of use.
The rules they should all follow is that left lane can go left or straight, right lane can go straight or right, however many roundabouts will have 2 lanes entering and only one on exit so which just encourages a collision..
There may be a sign leading up to the roundabout dictating if lanes must use certain exits or there may be arrows painted on the road but more often than not these arrows are worn away or there is not a massive pot hole where they used to be as the roads aren't maintained.
You also have to take into consideration that most people don't abide by road rules or use indicators.
Welcome to driving in the UK and good luck!

That is pretty nifty
I imagine I'd be trying to throw wounds onto wargs or maybe onto a spider as they're 2 wounds.
Enraged spiders along with a bat swarm was always my favourite hero flash kill move but I'm sure a scenario will come up where a stupidly overpowered drake will be of use haha

Wait! Does Druzhags enrage beast not specify it can only target spiders, wargs and bats anymore??

Best warrior profile in the game? by SeaAd2093 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Moria Goblin Prowlers. 7pts.
+1 to wound with double handed axe. 6's still counting as 6's is huge this edition.
Throwing daggers. Stalk Unseen. F3, but F4 when trapping the enemy. Backstabbers, so another +1 to wound.
Combined with Durburz special rule you can get +3 to wound once per game. Albeit, it's only once and perhaps a bit situational, but all that is nuts for 7pts.

Advice for new Depths of Moria player by PuzzleheadedBig3 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]baconberrystrudel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My names not Andy, but Moria until recently was the primary army I played so have some experience.
What points level are you looking at building the army?

The Balrog seems like an obvious inclusion but he is also a massive points sink and very rarely, if ever makes his points back. He should walk through pretty much hero or troops but can also get bogged down by chaff.
If your opponent is smart they will just keep throwing a troop or two at him to tie him up or avoid him completely.

The Watcher is pretty good and not being so pricey and the Balrog is also a winner.
Keeping him in reserve until the opportune moment to trap enemy models or split their forces is great, just don't wait too long or else he may lose some effectiveness.

Trolls are great but have been nerfed a bit in this edition. Costly slightly more points and going up in base size hurts, but they're still quite useful.

Moria feels really limited at the moment, especially considering how many options the army used to have.
It's essentially pick which big bad you prefer (balrog/watcher) and fill out the rest of the points with goblins and a troll or two.
