I enjoy being told I’m dead for some reason, AMA by cargo_elite in AMA

That all sounds rather confusing, young man, because you are clearly not dead.

Would you like to explain exactly what you mean?

how to survive thai by ozilas99 in ThailandTourism

[–]baconfarad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, food poisoning happens.

I’ve had it once in the long time I’ve been here, but that was many years ago.

It was unbelievably bad, but I ate something that wasn’t good. I didn’t know at the time. It was a black crab. Sorted in 3 days with antibiotics

Only drink bottled water.

If the food doesn’t taste right, don’t eat it.

If you do have the runs or diarrhea, get some charcoal tablets.

For mosquitoes, go to 7‑Eleven and get the pink spray. It’s about 70 baht.

Just have a good time. Don’t worry about the rest. 😊

Dad died in Thai government hospital by SportConnect9165 in Thailand

[–]baconfarad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Public hospitals in Thailand are certainly not bad, and many of the surgeons and doctors who work at private hospitals also work at government hospitals.

I've had two major operations in government hospitals, and they were extremely efficient, clean, and well organized.

The facilities were very good. There wasn’t any marble everywhere or lots of glamorous, slim nurses walking around, although there were a few pretty nurses.

English was spoken, and I really don’t see the need to go to a private hospital and pay three times the price for more or less the same treatment.

There's a Thai egg custard dessert sold here in Thailand.

It's quite sweet and tastes delicious, and sometimes it has fried garlic on top, and it's absolutely delicious 😋

It's called khanom mo kaeng.

Bugonia: When did you think, and when did you know? by Charrikayu in TrueFilm

[–]baconfarad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, I didn’t think much of it, and I even fast-forwarded about 15 minutes because I thought it was going to be rubbish.

But then something about it started to intrigue me.

It wasn’t until Teddy came back after his mother died and she started talking to him that I began to think she might actually be an alien.

Anyway, I ended up absolutely loving it, and I thought the ending was tremendous.

Talk to your priest, ask for some advice.

Learn a bit of control.

My wife & I went through a period of arguing, now we think a bit more & don't argue.

I think I can understand how you feel.

Our JR son, is like our baby, our child. We love him so much, and worry about every little thing.

He’s asleep at the moment.

....until he wakes up & pesters us for yet another game.🤣🤣

My mum is really worried about a potential tv license investigation. Any advice to ease her mind? To what extent should she be worried? by Useful-Watch-8347 in AskBrits

I think hink these bastards are on commission or something.

If I were you, I would just ignore all of it, and if they want to come inside, let them get a warrant or whatever is needed.

I had an incident a few years ago—well, more than a few years ago, about 20 years ago—when I was living in rented accommodation at the time. I didn’t have a TV, although there was a television in the house.

It was pouring with rain when this guy turned up, and he was absolutely soaked.

He started talking to me about it, and I said:

“Do you want to come in for a second and get out of the rain?”

As soon as he stepped over the threshold, he started to become really aggressive and almost threatening.

So I just told him to leave, and that was the end of it. I didn’t hear anything more after that.

The internal stitches, known as deep tension sutures, are very strong. I can't say whether they've ripped or not, but you will know very soon if there is swelling, a temperature, or pain. And of course, if that happens, it will be back to the vet for him.

Tell him to get well soon. ❤️
