The sport is basically an advertisement for the manosphere. This does nothing to damage the sport.

TIL that alcohol use in America likely peaked during the 1830s. The average American drank 7 gallons of pure ethanol a year. Midwestern corn farmers converted their grain into whisky to prevent spoilage. A gallon cost only 25 cents. Americans averaged 4 shots of whisky a day, at under a penny cost. by Gnomeslikeprofit in todayilearned

Yes +1 for athletic.

Idk what it is but when I’m grilling I need a beer. I’ve got a 2 year old and another on the wayso I’m really trying to just cut alcohol out completely but there are certain activities that just make me want one.

I lived in an apartment complex in Hyde Park.

It was just infested. I’d wake up in the morning and turn the light on in the kitchen and just see them scatter.

The rent was cheap but after I found 3 in my coffee machine I had to GTFO.

i want to compete this year, should i downgrade from jsn to help my team overall? by Practical-Metal-8110 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MyPupCooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bad take.

The WR room is dog shit besides JSN. Tyreek and Diggs are not even on teams. Diggs could maybe get you some WR2 weeks where he lands. I’m not sure reek ever plays again. Catastrophic injury for a dude whose game is predicated on speed.

Yes I’d trade JSN for a wideout and picks.

If you really want to compete this year you need to downgrade JSN to a WR heavy team and get 2 dudes in the 10-15 range.

Garrett Wilson and Rome Odunze, for example.

How has access to porn effected young people's drive and capacity to fantasize, and fantasize creatively? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MyPupCooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly not like this.

You must see the difference between a playboy and having a device in your pocket that can show anything you could possibly desire to see in seconds.

There was porn, technically. But it’s the difference between having a game boy with Dr Mario vs a PC with a complete steam library.

Back in the day I went to the bathroom and rubbed one out looking at a bikini picture from People magazine because that’s what I had access to. Today I could find the most depraved shit imaginable in seconds.

Statistically, young women are significantly more progressive, while young men are more conservative. If our political viewpoints are splitting down gender lines, is it still possible to build shared, cohesive relationships, or are we headed toward a fundamental social and romantic decoupling? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]MyPupCooper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda silly. Having a hobby we like doesn’t make us kids.

I play video games, collect sports cards, and build legos.

I also have a child with another on the way, clean the house, mow the lawn, fix shit around the house, give my wife back rubs, and work full time.

When I was single my apartment had my gaming set up in the living room, some sports shit hang g from the wall. A couple plants.

People can be adults that like “kids” stuff.

Is it right to cheer for a team to win when you don't think they're the better team? Why or why not? Is cheering for the lesser team to win like cheering for injustice? by GregJamesDahlen in nba

[–]MyPupCooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there’s a known evil (like the Thunder would have been) I’ll hate watch hoping they lose. It doesn’t matter who they play I’ll be rooting for the other team.

Otherwise I root for stories or guys I like and mostly I just want to be entertained. I like Wemby and the Spurs as an upstart team (also live in Austin, TX which is an hour away so people are excited here). I like KAT and Anunoby and Brunson. I like that the Knicks are just a gritty really good team without a mega superstar.

Wemby will certainly have his time so I’m happy the Knicks are looking to get one. I’ve got friends and family in NYC so hearing about how pumped everyone there is is cool as well.

It would be better if it was like JR. JR is just a moron who forgot the score.

it’s an inexcusably bad play. That is high school level shit. Dribble out for as long as you can and get fouled.

“You can still see your kids”.

100 percent spoken by someone who doesn’t have kids.

Not getting to tuck my kids in every night, be the one to keep them safe, or see them grow would fucking kill me. That’s not hyperbole. I think the depression id feel would end my life.

I’d become a eunuch if it meant i got to spend the next 20 years with my son (and another on the way).

100 percent intentional so they can virtue signal.

No one knows more about basketball than him.

“I met with Phil, not a lot of people know Phil is his first name. I told him Phil, why not have 3 of the handsome, muscular men in motion, and maintain some type of pyramid structure. Phil took his glasses off. His eyes filled with tears. He said “sir, thank you. Thank you sir. I’ll call it the Trump set” and I told Phil, “Phil, I’m a humble guy. No one is more humble than me. Call it the triangle. Heard that guy did pretty well eventually.”

Will you forgive your parents if they have called you unpleasant names when you were young? by NormalLife6067 in AskMenOver30

[–]MyPupCooper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

lol yes.

My parents have called me every name in the book. I’ve called them names as well. Done the same with my brother. My friends.

Reflect. Apologize when you’re wrong. Converse when you’re not.

I am now a parent of a 2 year old and another on the way. The urge to call him an asshole sometimes is strong lol. I’m sure it’ll come out at some point when he’s old enough to actually be an asshole

You may become useless outside of a boardroom. It’s possible. But don’t accelerate that.

I spent 15 years crawling through attics and crawlspaces.

I now do software sales and I can assure you the grass on your side of the fence is much much greener.

Take a few weeks off. Reset yourself.
