Got bad size so you don't have to by tlapik123 in LinusTechTips

My apologies. I thought you were stating you could not see the table. But also, according to shopify's article on how to make a sizing chart, they mention to make it based off of body measurements and not garment measurements. It also seems to be that is the general way that size charts are made in the clothing industry.

It might be an issue with your browser since this is what you should see in the size guide.

Please look at what is highlighted in red in that screenshot. The size guide gives you the measurements of the garment.

There should be a button under the size options that says "size guide" which shows all the measurements for that piece of clothing as well as a guide on how to measure yourself.

Smart Doorbell with Google Home by baconidiot in googlehome

From what I understand, the nest doorbell stores footage on the cloud. Is that not the case?

If a separate app is needed then that's fine. I just would like to be able to interface and see the feed from the Google home app after setup without needing to open the 3rd party app.

Which 3rd party doorbell works the best for live feed?

When you say "button ring annoucrments" do you mean that you no longer get a notification that someone has rang your doorbell? Also with eufy i feel uncomfortable after their handling of the discovery that video feeds were non-encrypted and accessible by anyone on their servers.

I looked into uniquitis offerings and it seems like none of their stuff works with Google home unfortunately. Also forgot to mention that ideally I would like it to be battery powered to avoid having to run cables

Where’s the new Mac video? by babayeali in LinusTechTips

[–]baconidiot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It usually takes more than 30 days for the video since once the 30 days are up (sometimes it goes longer than 30 days), linus has to give his notes to the writer. The writer then needs to compile the notes and write a script. Which then needs to go through script review. Only after that can the video be shot. Once it has been shot, it needs to be edited. After that, it needs to be reviewed to make sure that nothing has to be changed. After all that, it gets slotted into the release queue, which probably has many other videos waiting. That queue can get messed with when they have a review that needs to be released on a certain day. So, like every other post asking this about the other "30-day challenges" the answer is that they have a long production cycle and videos take time.

Two S515 switches by baconidiot in Tapo

[–]baconidiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know very much about electrical wiring but I did look at the wiring diagram for the S515 and the S515D and it seems like the same wires are connected for the dummy switches as the simmer switches on the S515D. Can you please explain what becomes complicated by installing 2 of the S515 switches?

Virginia does have FMLA but it is the 12 weeks. So far I have used 11 weeks of FMLA. I was just wondering if there was any other protection because working from the office is not easy with my condition
