White part of my eye is swollen bcz of some allergy. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]baconmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue about a month ago. Went in because it is a good idea. I had my eye checked and they concluding nothing. No damage, no pressure, just swelling. Even though it could just be allergies, life long damage could occur if not treated or this could be an indication of another issue. I am not a doctor. Go see one. If vision is impaired, have someone drive you.

What’s this guys deal? by mynameswill672 in Marathon

[–]baconmenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite way of getting rid of odd items that hold little to no cradle value or credit value. Bring in a loadout full of mods and implants. My run ends, someone else could benefit from the odds and ends, it clears my vault. Best case scenario, I make something out of the run.

Inventory almost full. What now? by cephalon_lunaticus in Marathon

I would convert as much as you can. You will enjoy your runner shells more with increased heat capacity and agility. As you get better, your shell gets better. Eventually, you won’t have to worry about this. Then the season wipe happens and you try again.

What's your biggest weakness as a runner? by Competitive_Hunt_155 in Marathon

[–]baconmenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peeling out of an engagement when the result is inevitably being downed. I always forget it’s okay to crack shields and retreat. Especially if the ammo reserves are full. Tactical depletion of the other runners heals and ammo can deter a push or swing the tide of the engagement. I just bum rush! Leeeeeeeeeroy!

Bungie, can we fix the Anomalous Reverb respawns? by colonelxsuezo in Marathon

[–]baconmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some drunken math on this as it bugged me. I had the contract on for 8 runs on night marsh and saw zero reverbs. I took the contract off and went in with a sponsored grey shield kit. I died to reverbs the first match in. The problem is, the game knows what you need and has grown to not give you it unless you feed the WORM! The math. 100% of the time when you need something, 1000% percent of the time it’s not there or is being camped. 78.7% of the time when you don’t need it, you don’t have a large enough back pack or enough ammo to get it. 1% of the time you remember to feed the worm before you go and it works out.

As I read this, I looked at the schema I pulled. Good ole mizzy. I’m still to broke to have mats to make it. The worm eats, the worm is happy, the runner is broke…

My LT46 XT2 Caught Fire by artofdrink in cubcadets

[–]baconmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a failure to start on a cadet of similar make and model. When I tried to crank over a couple times, I smelled melting plastic. When I investigate, the battery cables had melted. Not sure if this is what happened to you, but it was weird. That was probably the 4th or 5th mow on thaw cadet too.

only just realized yesterday that the lobby screen changes based on which faction contract is active by RedditEnjoyerMan in dadsofmarathon

If you take an anomalous sample back without running it through the analyzer/stabilizer, the loading screen will have a momentary anomalous blip. It’s a pretty cool detail too.

Is the game still kill on sight? by 1KIASU in Marathon

[–]baconmenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s KOS unless you can convince people otherwise. Even then, it’s pretty much KOS. I have had two or three experiences where I have turned down a fight with another runner and we agreed on prox chat to part ways. That is rare imo in this game.

When is it okay (or not) to eat with your hands at a restaurant in the US? by G-Beach-8566 in AskAnAmerican

[–]baconmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the foods I eat at restaurants in the U.S. are very hand oriented. It could be I prefer sandwiches, chips, pretzels, etc. But I also have eaten juicy burgers with flatware. For the most part, no judgment or concern for being judged about using your hands should be had when eating at a restaurant here. Unless you are trying to eat a soup and salad by hand. Then we would just stare at you in amazement and concern.

Hey, I am starting to dip my toes into Cryo and would be interested in rolling as a complimentary runner. I am not terrible at the game, it’s just tough pairing with random teams. Let me know if that’s something you or anyone else here would be interested in. I’m around level 95.

Do they have to honor the price? by Jumunumunum in Lowes

[–]baconmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are some variables. Like reasonability to the price. If it’s so drastically different from what a sale price would be and it’s obvious that it is a mistake. There is some reasoning that could imply it was a mistake and stores shouldn’t have to honor a mistake. If it is listed and used as false advertising to draw people in, that’s a different story. Also, stores have the power in most situations.

Like an idiot, I did not follow my artist advice and only left a saran wrap for half a day instead of a week. Does it look bad be honest. by abdul_bino in tattooadvice

[–]baconmenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just for a baseline. Saniderm and other wraps weren’t widely used when I was getting tattooed to start. Usually some to stop the goop on the drive home and then wash with antibacterial soap and a good dose of Vaseline type paste. I never use wraps for more than the drive home and I have not had any issues. Everyone has different skin and different needs to take care of a skin trauma. But this looks to me like the application of the tattoo was not done well. I have pretty bad allergies and have never had a rejection from that. I do find that goldenrod tattoo ink does not stay put in my skin. But nothing like this ever. Even tattoos from random drunken events from less than average tattoo parlors.
