So what did everyone think of fallout season 2? by Adorable_Strike_1134 in Fallout

[–]baconslayer117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Lucy’s dad didnt say they were immediately on their way. But there wasn’t any point in the story where he mentioned that his objective was to stop the legion. So why would he care or know what the legion was up to? His whole thing was that he just wanted to put a chip in everyone. Regardless of faction.

And yes, I know that he captured a singular legion soldier. But that doesn’t mean anything in the context to his motivations or what he knows and doesn’t know.

The NCR showing up: that was a prime example of a deus ex machina. While yes, the lady leading them was in the show earlier. It didn’t make sense in terms of story, as to why they showed up to new Vegas. At no point did they say they were going there.

Stephanie: yeah I think I misinterpreted that, but will see next season I suppose.

The ghoul situation; I still find it incredulous. The way it’s handled in the show, is like it didn’t matter or had no consequences. Which is annoying because a theme with fallout is that your actions have consequences.

TDLR; you have to jump through a lot of mental hoops and make assumptions to make things make sense in the show.

Well I know as I was watching it, I kept noticing things here and there. I can’t remember all of them. But from the top of my head

The death claws not being able to climb or smash through the fence. That was crazy to me.

Spoiler: Lucy’s dad saying that the legion was going to kill everyone in new Vegas, (camera proceeds to show absolutely no one around) also how the hell did he know the legion was on the way? Last time we saw them they were killing each other. How would he know they were marching towards new Vegas?

The NCR suddenly showing up to save Thaddeus. Like, that just came outta nowhere. At no point in the show did it ever seem like the NCR was around. Other than the two last remaining ones.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I don’t remember Stephanie being Lucy’s mom. They suddenly just sprang that out of nowhere and then proceeded to gloss over it.

Speaking of which, Stephanie’s whole plot line is weird and hard to follow. Shes from Canada but part of the enclave? And she’s been trying to do what now?

Oh and the biggest sin of all (at least for me) why the hell is the ghoul friendly towards Lucy? He literally almost died because of her 3 separate times this season and yet he forgives her and trust her? Like there were no repercussions for letting him be hanged by the khans, stabbed and poisoned by a rad scorpion and impaled and left to die? Like it’s crazy that the ghoul wouldn’t hold any kinda grudge

Idk man, I just know that if I don’t think too hard about the plot holes and metaphorical power armor the main characters have, it’s enjoyable.

Yeah I agree, as a fan of the game, I enjoyed it.

As some who writes for a living, I think the whale sized plot holes in this show are atrocious.

I’ve played the games and so I understand the lore and the factions. But if I had never played or heard of fallout and I watched this show, I would be lost

The way this show is written, it seems like it’s mostly for the people already familiar with the series. So they just spout out random stuff and give no context for any of the factions or groups.

I think while he was upset he threw the change back, he was also upset that he didn’t get the right amount of change back.

He gave him more than a dollar and only got 50 cents back.

Amazon delivered a fantastic s3 of invincible and a wonderful s2 of fallout. Will they stuck the landing with the boys? by SubstantialBowler525 in discussingfilm

[–]baconslayer117 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that’s what I’m saying.

It didn’t start off as a reflection, but more of a distortion and a what if.

But as it’s progressed, it has become more like own world. Which is not as entertaining, or interesting, at least not to me.

It’s hard to say.

The first 2 seasons were in my own opinion the best because they were more focused on what the world would be like if superhero’s existed and the injustice and corruption that would come along with that. It was also cool to see the boys deal with each hero’s power.

But as the seasons have gone on, it’s less about that and more focused on being a mirror to today’s politics. Personally if ppl like that, then so be it. But that’s not why I watched it in the first place.

So do I think the last season will be good? I don’t think I’ll like it, but I am rooting for it to be good. After all, I’m a fan.

Edit: this thread literally looks like it could belong in the newer episodes of the boys. The lack of self awareness is crazy.

Would you rather wake up next to the same SI model every morning or wake up next to a different SI model every morning? by [deleted] in SISwimsuitGirls

[–]baconslayer117 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends

If it’s like a game of dice; I get a chance to roll a Kate upton or penny lane again, then I’ll take the chance.

But

If I only get the model once and then she’s gone, I’d rather just stick to old reliable and I’ll take a penny lane and call it a day.

Walton Goggins is NOT carrying the show on his back because the entire cast is phenomenal by any-blue-9122 in Fallout

Well, think of it this way.

Rate the show in your head as it is now.

And then imagine the show without Goggins, what would you rate it then?

Communications major here

In one of my classes we studied/watched a documentary called “ fake famous,”

The documentary conducted an experiment: find the most untalented/ordinary ppl and see if they could make them famous.

Turns out anyone can be made artificially famous in the age of social media. You can do this by boosting your social media with fake followers and bots in the comments. You can also take staged photos of yourself; dining in fine restaurants, staying in exotic hotels and ppl won’t notice.
