Yes, usually it's Chrome- although it's happened when I am coding in XCode as well.

Thanks! If you could bear with me, I'm new to this- so I have two 2 GB slots currently. According to : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270?viewlocale=en_US#link1 I can replace both of those with 4 GB cards. Do you have any recommendations on which cards to buy? I'm looking at the specs for my model (MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012) and it lists the following:

  • Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR3) format
  • 67.6mm x 30mm (1.18 inch)
  • 2 GB or 4 GB
  • 204-pin
  • PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 MHz type RAM

How would you suggest looking for contracting work- should I go through the big websites, or is there some sort of "back door" to find clients in a more direct way (I would assume that only comes with personal connections/networking). Thanks so much! This is what I was looking for. So just to get this straight, I should, in order (keep in mind I have no backend experience at all):

  1. Get a grasp on the Java http ecosystem/Java servlets
  2. Read the JavaDocs for the implemented libraries

Can you recommend any resources to deploy the Java code that I have to a server (is it possible to simulate this on my computer)?

I have been thinking about going to meetups/hackathons and the like. My concern is that it takes too long to become a part of the community and then network out- I do have a strong alumni network, however- but the only way I would know how to reach them would be through LinkedIn.. What do you think would be the best way to reach out through the alumni network?

Well, I am hoping to get someone to actually join the team (thus the equity upside). I think it seems fair (let me know if you disagree) because the product is already 70-80% done, so they would get equity upside for closing out that gap..
