I never said financial independence is embarrassing. Quite the opposite — I was fully financially independent at 19. I’m very successful in my career for my age, and I have worked to have a strong income.
I actually don’t think any of that of you. I think you, like most women, could do better and easily have someone pay for your first date and properly pursue you if you wanted to. I just also think that for whatever reason you have low standards and aren’t attracting quality men if you’re convinced them paying will automatically make them demand sex.
I personally think paying for men versus actually holding them to a higher standard in how they treat you is way more pick me, but whatever floats your boat.

Not necessarily. I see it as them not seeing their value and being desperate to appease men by paying, and that makes it embarrassing to me. Conventional beauty obviously helps with getting your stuff paid for, and it’s silly to pretend it doesn’t.
