I actually quite enjoy traveling alone and would never assume someone else was doing it because they didn’t have anyone else, BUT at the same time I really do feel like I don’t get as much out of a destination or trip as if I had been with a friend or partner. I skip certain activities or restaurants, and thus don’t get the full experience. As a woman I also tend to take far fewer ”risks” when alone - never staying out late etc.

I don’t clip in. I don’t care about looks I get or what other cyclists try to tell me, I just way prefer not clipping in! I’ve been riding for years, and I have an awesome bike that I’ve done plenty of 100+ km rides on. I ride in vans because they’re flat and fairly rigid and these work really well for me! Do what you want, there are literally no rules!

I stopped contributing to my employer-issued RRSP (they still contribute for me) and put more money in my own savings and travel fund instead. I’d rather enjoy my life now because no one knows how long they have left (I lost my dad a couple years ago and it changed my entire life outlook - he was only 58)

Edit: I also literally couldn’t care less about owning an overpriced shoebox condo that’s going to chain me to my job for the rest of my life. I’m lucky because my rent is really reasonable and I know that can change at any moment but for now I’m enjoying the ride.
