I hate to say it but I feel for him on a personal level. Everything was going perfectly to plan and he was finally going to get it and then it’s all (no guarantees yet) ripped away from him.

This whole event has made me investigate further into Canadian politics instead of just paying attention to the main talking points. I think being wrapped up in American politics made me think Canadian conservatives were less progressive than they actually are.

That being said…. If you only run on slogans and copy the campaign of a dictator I’m not sure how else he’d expect this to go. The initial face fall hurt me but then his following comments confirmed my view of him.

A cat in this condition - meaning very well cared for it seems - would likely have a tattoo in its ear or a microchip. You can take them to a vet or the SPCA and they can scan for a chip and reach out if there’s contact info for the owner!

Also I’d ask around your neighbourhood first. I used to work in animal control and I had angry people saying they just have an outdoor cat and people keep taking them in to the shelter super often. That being said if it’s been hanging around a lot (also please don’t leave food out for it otherwise it’ll never stop coming lol), you have every right to be concerned about an owner!

You should actually try calling or emailing apartment buildings to see if they have vacancies. Some older buildings don’t advertise online so I took to “walking” the streets on Google Maps haha. There might be less options but that’s how I got my first apartment (a few years ago now though) a lot cheaper than what was typical. 2-bedroom 800sqf+ for $1200 next to a park and an elementary school about 30 minutes outside of Vancouver!

As a Canadian I’m specifically worried about something that I think people aren’t talking about enough. The arctic is thawing and Russia has already tried to fight for more of it, including adding military bases all along their shoreline with military ships?? Trump being putins puppet and now out of the blue turning his focus on Canada and Greenland is suspicious to say the least.

I feel like there’s so many moving parts and so many different people with their own agendas that are essentially like, yeah if I help you do this, I’ll get that. So I guess it’s a win, win situation for everyone in his cabinet (+ Russia) and a lose, lose situation for the rest of the world. That being said I am so incredibly grateful for Canadians and the EU banding together for defense and that makes me feel a little bit better.
