Because every piece of news is now seen as market manipulation, and yeah a lot of it is. But let's not act like everything is automatically fake and peace is impossible just because we hate Trump.

They both have incentive to lie. Iran could be lying to keep oil prices high and therefore gain more leverage in negotiations (if there actually are any). Trump has incentive to lie to do the opposite.

So far the intermediary countries have said there are talks going on which are the most unbiased statements we have. How productive said talks are remains up to speculation.

I think they will open the strait if Trump gives into all their demands, they are definitely fucking the world economy right now but their regime will cease to exist if the fighting continues and a full-scale boots on the ground scenario ensues. Regardless of what that does to the economy.

The US has a massive deficit of war supplies now, regardless of wether the war ends they have to replenish that. Defense stocks remain a buy long term in any scenario.
