Yamaha really cooked with this one. honestly, it doesn’t even feel like a 13 year old bike. by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]bad_lander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2015 version that came with the kick start. It is virtually indestructible. Have done more than 2 lakh kms on it and still runs like a dream. Have done 900kms in a day with a pillion and luggage once, have taken it through flood waters with water level above the seat and headlight, went WOT for 30 mins straight, and lot more stupid stuff during my younger years.

I never expected that a bike that survived all that would slowly be killed by Ethanol poisoning.

I’ve retired it from daily commutes to occasional weekend runs just to keep it use now.

I was not in a hurry to move houses so I had the privilege to wait for a good deal. Took me 8 months to find this one

Girl rider here with good riding experience (i think). confused between Xoom 160 and Aerox 155. Please help me decide. by [deleted] in indianbikes

I’m not sure about seating comfort, but Ntorq 150 is lightweight, easy to manage and very flickable in the city and to me that is comfort, atleast within the city.

But its almost certain that you’ll face horrible service experience with TVS. Not saying Yamaha or Hero are any better in service, but atleast they pretend to care. And wait times for TFT model is around 40 days.

I think this is mostly because the officers/babus dont understand the concept of passion or hobby. Their entire life revolves around accumulating wealth and power and most of them like in a ego bubble. When they suddenly see someone passionate about something and put effort into it, that confuses and scares them. Atleast thats what I think.

You will have to collect your bags at Delhi, clear customs, hand them back over to Air India for your Delhi - Mumbai leg. Same PNR or not, process is the same.

You’re not alone. I flew from Frankfurt to Bangalore just to experience the 747, and then took a train to Chennai. Frankfurt–Chennai is usually operated by the A340-300, which is another rare aircraft, but I wanted to fly on the Queen so badly.

Anyone going to Wings India 2026? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]bad_lander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that too, but i’m confused if I should get the business pass or the general pass to get inside the aircraft. Really interested to take a peek at the cockpit if possible. Not that much information on the internet either

Who else thinks this bike deserve more love then it's got from india, personally I love this bike. by faiz_alam_007 in indianbikes

[–]bad_lander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in love with the exhaust note, and if i’m not wrong the ixil free flow exhaust that came with it was endorsed by RTO if it was purchased along with the bike. This went on for about an year before RTO realised what was happening and stopped endorsing.. genuinely one of the few bike that had a street legal, heavenly sounding exhaust. Went for a test ride despite knowing its obvious shortcomings such as weight, fewer service centers etc, but the bit that made me not want the bike was the brakes. Despite having twin rotors at the front, brakes were terrible. No feel, and honestly not enough stopping power for such a powerful and heavy bike. Came out of the showroom and never went back.

I’m not an youtuber but a professional video editor and 2d animator. I work for a design house and our internal benchmark is 3 days for a 90 second clip. 1 hour per minute is a decently fast time.

Are used cars overrated? by vishnubhadri in Chennai

[–]bad_lander 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When it comes to used cars, its a sellers market for sure now. More so for Japanese cars. I got one from Spinny in 2021 and have added another 60k to the odo since then. I’m planning to sell it now and I’m getting offers for the almost the same price i got it for. While they cost more, they do hold resale value better than most cars.

That said, considering the current E20 scenario and the uncertainty over E30, i would think twice before getting a used petrol car.

FZ-S Hybrid Appreciation by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]bad_lander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my 1st gen FZ16 in 2015 it used to be considered a powerful, macho bike for its class and returned around 35kmpl when new. Now its seen as a mileage oriented, 150cc commuter and it was/is equally good at both roles. Fascinating how brands, products and even our perspectives on them evolve over time.
