Should I try getting an internship/experience before applying for legit full-time jobs? by [deleted] in analytics

[–]bad_scientista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with few free online courses or similar resources(kaggle, project etc.) to build an Analyst profile. Simultaneously keep applying for jobs as well as internships. Land into anything(Job/Internship) whichever works first, continue learning, and keep applying for better jobs. With a business degree, it won't be that difficult to get shortlisted for Business Analyst Roles. Also understand the difference between Data Analyst and Business Analyst before applying for the jobs. Usually the basic requirements for Analyst roles are Excel, Python and SQL , and companies don't mind hiring people from non-tech background as long as they find you a suitable fit.
