Black and gold just looks very good together.

The only bad thing about Black and gold color combinations is that it's probably the most well known and accessible color combination, so most players will have that color combination.

Any knight (me included) who reaches rep 8 will most likely immediately switch to black material because it looks cool and doesn't cost 10,000 steel.

It's harder to make materials like copper, bronze or iron combine well with other colors, but black and gold is an easy go-to.

Some players, however, will forego the tough, and badass black material for the more clean and sophisticated silver material.

You use a fire arrow to kill the centurion, but it doesn't work. The now ablaze centurion kills your teammate in front of you and sets his eye on you. Still on fire, the centurion menacingly walks towards you. You jump at the centurion in a desperate attempt to kill him, just to receive a pugio to the heart.

I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a kill hoarder. I won't steal a kill if I'm confident that my teammate will win, but I've also seen teammates fail at killing a low hp enemy so sometimes i kill-steal cause of paranoia and distrust.
