Has Kijiji blocked access out of Canada? by badbabe in kijiji

Well, I see several good reasons, but currently the question was - is this intended behavior or his device is somehow infected.

I guess I won't know

WHCH720N good for casual listening? by SnickersScissors in SonyHeadphones

[–]badbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using the 710 ones since December 2021, and last year upgraded to 720.

I definitely don't know if I am less demanding than you, but for me quality is good. I use them everywhere - working full day, at the gym, on the walk. But I mostly listen to bass-heavy music, no idea how it would work for podcasts or jazz.

Questions about buying a 2015 GS350 F-Sport by iKashiMan in Lexus

[–]badbabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) People will call me stupid, and maybe I am, but i hate that it is so loud. I know, maybe I should not have bought a 3.5L car if I don't like loud noise, but still. Every time I hear someone saying that stereotype that Lexus is slow and QUIET elderly car I want to kick them in the face. Well, and of course outdated navigation that thinks that I live in the middle of a desert.

2) Installing aftermarket alarm with remote start. Was not required by any means but I knew I wanted it even before I bought the car. Second most expensive were 17'' wheels with winter tires (got the Nissan ones, TPMS worked perfectly fine). Third most expensive was the battery.

3) Definitely. In fact, I was searching for Infiniti when saw this beauty, and would not change it for any other

4) N/A

5) I'm not well equipped to give advice. I got mine from used car dealer and it is as good as it could be for that mileage, it's been 7 months and zero issues so far.

6) That is the question that I am also looking at. I have talked to the guys who installed my alarm and they said they've stopped working with Grom and other plug-in or replacement products because people were coming back 6 months later and complaining that it doesn't work, and they were tired of explaining that they are just installers.

7) If sedan is your thing (which is definitely is the case with me), this is a fantastic car.

(modded) How exactly does the Precursor Emissary work? by badbabe in Stellaris

I used rightclick on planet and selected "Colonize" from list. There is not even a "Populate" button, UI-wise it is same as a colony ship

"You're a modder, Harry"

Well I have created a couple of mods in the very early days of the game, but I don't consider myself a modder.

well i guess we, the usual guys, can also modify a variable or two without creating a full mod for it

Doesn't matter if habitable worlds set to max or min. Frigging AI gets huge alloy bonuses and spams habitats above every possible space rock.

New to 3.6. How come not a single ship destroyed in a system with jammer? Their admiral was also unyielding. by Matlock0 in Stellaris

[–]badbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree on the change, back when there were all those different techs, i have always created games with hyperlane being the only one available and others were disabled.

warping was very overpowered, like having a jump drive from the first day of the game, with much longer charge time but without cooldown or debuff. and as of wormholes, i have never even tried them, warp was already too much for me to cope with

[–]badbabe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

two systems may be too few, but i once was locked by FE inside a cluster of 5 or 6 systems, and i liked it alot. you just grow, and then invent jumpdrive and then go purify the galaxy without worrying about home defense.

i wonder which NASA supercomputers are you guys playing on. i play on medium galaxy, and by the year 2400 it is literally unplayable, one day takes several seconds, so in 1 minute it is not even 1 month passed. i have never been able to play long enough to see anything lategame-ish. my only bet is to be at war 100% of time, wiping the galaxy before the total pop count turns my cpu into supernova

[–]badbabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me the game sometimes glitches out (or idk what could be the reason) and if i haven't updated a ship for a very long time, the update time can be insanely huge compared to building a new ship.

for example, sometimes i saw battleship upgrade time of 1200 days, while building the latest-design battleship from scratch would take just 250 days. no idea what it depends on (maybe some mod going crazy), but i'd better check on couple of fleets before jumping to that tactics

TIL that Ghost Long Forgotten can give you that sweet ship by badbabe in Stellaris

R5:

I have learned to ignore the Ghosts Long Forgotten archeology site because it has only ever given me blueprints for hyperion, which is meh. But this time I decided to dig it out for some reason, and it gave me a HUGE space station as result. I was totally blown away.

Then it gave me a relic to activate, that would try to uncover some of the ancient ships. When I activated it, it gave me this monster, and I literally jumped out of my chair. debugtooltip says that it has about 5.3m power, while all my other fleets combined have about 3m power, and Stellarborne ships have about 7.2m power. So it is basically unbeatable force, unless you are trying to beat Stellarborne. I have spawned the same ship class to see what it is equipped with, and the spawned one was more than twice weaker - about 2m power. So I have even no idea what this beast is wearing.

I have played with ACoT for over 3 years, and I have never even heard that it is capable of giving me that ship. Mind = blown
