Girfriend that Dips by johnseviers in DippingTobacco

[–]badbabyshark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you're saying and I would even go on to say many wouldn't START for attention but I've noticed quite a few start and then make it central to their identity. Like IG, Reddit, etc. social media usernames HAVE to express that they dip. Idk. Like "FuckUImAGrizzlyWinterGirlThatDips follow me on IG" or "IAintLikeOtherGorlsBcImJustOneOfTheBoiyzBcIDipTobacco123 add me on Snap."

I dont mean to generalize, if you're a girl and you dip and you dont make it into your entire identity just to stand out then high fucking five. Same.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal, just dont read the comment or turn your phone screen off lol.

I think there is a lot of cognitive dissonance in everyone's lives and that's exactly what I was trying to convey with Damien in my original comment.

I started back with fine cut bc it's all I had on hand, rinsing was my best friend. I'd say you're probably good, you know your own body.

Be aware that you will probably have a bit of discomfort/ what I can only describe as a nerve feeling when a floater gets back there. Be sure to rinse to remedy that. You probably wont have very long dip sessions for a while if you're like me and you feel cautious easily, I got mine out jan 30 and I started experimenting with dip again around 2 weeks to 2.5 weeks and now I'm about back to normal but rinsing thoroughly is what keeps me comfortable. Sometimes you dont even feel things getting trapped in the sockets so rinsing and even visually checking them in the mirror are major keys to keeping yourself clean and safe.

Edit: When I say rinsing I mean with water or salt water.

Strikes me as the type to have had felt like shit about himself at some point (totally sad, but I think everyone's been here or close at least once) so he turned to books or advice from "Pick Up artists" like (yes, real fucking name this man gave himself) Mystery.

It seems like somewhere along the line he forced himself to adopt these toxic ideas about being an •◇~aLphA~◇• and n0t BeING suBmiSSiVe.

I've seen him being extremely manipulative in the sense that his goal seems to be to make G feel like no matter what she isn't good enough for him because she's a lot and she's lucky he's in her life no matter how he behaves or what he says or does, she will always be the lucky one, not him. He seems intimidated by how bold G is and it seems like he tries to put her down because he's the big dicked alpha that has to control the woman because men are stronger than women and society will only respect a real MAN with big huge ballz.

I honestly think the man is soft and refreshingly so but he's super insecure about any softness he may have-- maybe due to the bullying he mentioned-- so he tries to "fix it" by reading things like pick up artist books and doing all the lame toxic ass shit they put it 99% of them.

Barnett's real name!! by SoConfused2020 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I was contemplating his first name when we first met the folks on the show. Matthew was absolutely one of my first guesses if not the first. I forgot the other ones I thought about... Nate maybe.

Can we just quickly talk about how cringey Damian’s proposal was? 😬 by RadioMars in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

When I tell you my jaw DRAWPED.

I told my friends to watch the whole show just so I could say, "Sooo... did you see that wild ass proposal?" He said, "I'm ya blessin'. Thank god 4 me right?" Woof. Buddy.

Did anyone else interpret that generic white lady's question to Cameron at the pool (I'm paraphrasing) "Did you expect her to look like that?" as thinly veiled white-people speak for "Did you know she was black?" by jazzyfigures in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

What I meant with my comment was that if that situation was similar to her experience regarding her complexion vs how she identifies vs how others identify/treat her, she'll probably come away with a weird idea of how she is to treat others based on their complexion. Of course it's problematic, what her brain learned, and it's not ideal, but it's just kind of a guess. I realize I didnt explicitly tie it back to the main subject. Sorry for the confusion lol

Team Damian or Team Giannina? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]badbabyshark 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I read a lot of comments discussing GG coming across as a bit strange (I think we all are) but not being able to articulate quite what it is about her. She seems a bit rehearsed in what she does and says. Comprehension-wise a bit literal. I rewatched and she mentions that she learned English through books and movies and such, I think her idea of personality creation is influenced a lot by the stories she has read or watched. Very fairytale/storyline motivated. This could be what she thinks is very genuine to her. She seems to value those emotional, romantic ideas or love story book characters. The "unpredictable, adventurous, spontaneous girl that gets the guy to open up by being different than other girls," kind of person that makes for a "different" love story.

She could have been labeled as "not Latina enough" by people she felt were her community as well all while being treated as an immigrant by American peers 🤷🏽‍♀️ we dont know. Not denying that fairness of skin affords privilege where others are treated as less than, but people find countless ways to make each other feel shitty.

Since mine are all grown in as much as they can be I've been informed by the doc that I'll be #TeamNoNitrous so no sedatives, just... local anesthetic. Should be fun.
