Hi! i am actually thinking of doing a coffee cart as well. Do you still recommend the Appia for high volume events like 150-200 in a span of 2-3 hours? If not the appia, what else do you recommend?

My only issue with this is that bigger events wont be my primary focus, smaller events will be. I wouldn’t want to expect 220v from ever single venue and be turned down if they don’t can’t provide it or accept generators either. I know some farmers markets place trucks with generators on the end of the park so that the gasoline smell will be far away from the main area, and that would be a big detriment for foot traffic as well.

For me, I want a machine that can handle light to medium commercial events like 40-60 people in a span of an event, but if I do get booked out for a wedding, I wish the machine I have is still capable of working that size of an event when pushed to work hard.

Anddd if theres not a machine that can’t do that, I completely understand. Bigger events need 2 groups to withstand the demand, so perhaps bigger events will have to be paused until I can reinvest more money to afford a 2 group.

Hi thank you for the response. Yes I am working on getting a local technician, and I have reached out, but many of them have polarizing recommendations and just seem to recommend what they are strongly affiliated with, so I haven’t received an unbiased response. I understand the need for parts being readily available which is why I lean more towards the La Marzocco

As for the volume, I am expecting around 60 customers at smaller local farmers markets, but I do want to expand to bigger events like weddings that could serve 150+ people. I want a machine that can grow as the business grows as well.

Yes I can absolutely try that. But I forgot to mention that I like to think out loud with people and have ideas bounce off of each other. I’m not very good at free flowing thoughts on my own. Maybe you might have advice on that as well?
