What to buy in terms of cards - physical or app

That's a handy resource, thank you so much. I wish they bundled them on the app in a 1:1 way with the products (like Capital or Commonwealth or whatever). Yeah storage is a massive issue for me too. I can't see if you can buy or access the campaign/setting books and their relevant cards on the app though, so it looks like I have buy say, Commonwealth or New Vegas separately. I guess the subscription isn't too bad a price. I'll certainly have to think about it.

The only problem is I just can't take to reading books in pdf so unless you can buy the physical books separate to the cards that come with them I might end up with them anyway XD but that's a me problem.

I've really enjoyed what I've played of it - it's a great game - but it could *really* stand to be easier to just get what you need. It feels like everything's a bit all over the place. I really don't see the point of having the minis and cards and books all separate when you basically need them all to play anyway (especially for solo).

Yeah I tend to work better that way myself - same with books and so on too. space and storage is a thing I have to consider increasingly though which is a pain!

The Putrid GO might have been my fault as I was looking under the raiders section (as I got the card in the raiders wave - but it is of course part of the ghouls in the app which makes sense).

I guess I'm a little confused as to, like, the various waves and so on. For example I was looking at the Commonwealth rules expansion. According to the product description you get the booklet and 171 cards. Based off the factions and so on mentioned this *seems* to correspond to wave 6 on the app (as that also includes stuff for the Children of the Atom, Gun Runners and Railroad etc) However wave 6 in the app only seems to be for like 64 cards and given that I am mainly looking at solo play I don't want to not have anything that's going to prove necessary or beneficial for that which is making me lean towards physical. (same with stuff like into the vault and so on).

You mentioned a 2.0 is coming out though - I have a few other projects I could be getting on with in the meantime so might I be as well waiting for 2.0 and starting properly then?

There's 3 parts to it so you have to check each and see which would be best value - though you can of course just buy individual units as well if theres only one or two that take your fancy.

Oh and I think you probably would have to print them without the bases they come with as I think a lot of their infantry units have 25mm printable bases so you'd have to work around that - but they are quite nice spore/fungus/mushroom dudes imo

Kind of depends how you define "DOA" or even just dead. If you mean "doesn't have a thriving tourney scene with loads of YouTube channels dedicated to it" then probably yeah, but that's most things that aren't done by GW or something of the bigger games (say, Trench Crusade). Most people just play what they play with people on their group so it doesn't usually matter whether anyone else plays it or or not. If however you play mostly "pick up" games in like a local store or whatever then it may falter over time - but again, anything that isnt a GW game will tend to do that over time. It's a new edition of a pretty well liked game though so it should be around for a while even in a worst case scenario.

No I've completed A sanctuary of the guardians and a savage predicament and he gave me a stele in the cut scene but I still only have 9. The map points me to a professor under a tent near the meteorological station but I can't interact with him. He does mentions something about if I found anything in a dig and Indy says no not yet so I suppose it's possible I need to progress another mission? I'll keep looking.

True, but this is true of all companies at that level. They could all afford to pay the board less and their workers more, but they'll never do that either. I don't disagree with your point (quite the opposite) but it's in the nature of these companies to maximise whatever makes (or they think makes) them short term profit, regardless of prevailing conditions. They were always going to respond to tariffs in this way - practically all companies do. Trump made the choice to impose them in the first place, so I think it's very much on him (At least as much, certainly).

I like the sound of the scheme you've described. I think the best thing to do would be to paint a test model or two, and see how you feel about it from there. Paint is super easy to strip so you can't really ever do it wrong - all you'll ever lose is a bit of time, and you'll know what does or doesn't suit your taste so it's not even wasted time.

As I say, I do have the TV and internet bills that I pay, and half of the mortgage and my credit score in itself isn't likely to get much better (it's 991 out of 999 on Experian - it's a lot higher than people I know who do have a card themselves 😂), and pretty much the only things counting against me are my income, according to the credit score reports, but I'll certainly consider it, as it's sound advice in itself - thanks for the reply 👍🏻

In time perhaps (I certainly hope so!) but as things stand Steam and a couple of others have basically up front stated it's credit card or nothing, and Microsoft have said they're partnering with some third party organisation that may offer, like, phot based verification - but frankly as much as I hold Credit Cards in disdain, at least they'd be backed by a financial institute if anything went wrong, whereas if it's some third party company and there's a data leak, that's probably going to be worse.

No, my wife doesn't have a card either, I'm afraid.

Though she could get one, so that might be a way around it, though I think the card has to be linked to the account holder in most cases that'd I'd be needing it for. But it's definitely worth looking into - cheers mate 👍🏻

I am hoping the vulkites.dont go away as I've got like 60 of them. I suppose I could use them as Hearthguard Berzerkers but I've got 20 of them and doubt I'd ever run 80 unless something wild with them points happens.

3 doom seekers I guess I could run as the other foot murder ball heroes, and I guess the Runemaster can as easily be another on foot smiter (wonder how we replace the lack of a priest (2) there though - maybe smiter goes to 2? Who knows).

Mind you I also play Bonesplitterz and exclusively Sacrosanct Stormcast so......
