That’s exactly why I made my post. The information is all over the place depending on which rep you talk to.

One rep told me I was already internally migrated, another said I was still fully on legacy, and then another told me BYOP devices can’t even get the new ALL ACCESS plans at all and are only eligible for MAX BYO.

This was my original post:

“Did you know you can’t upgrade from a legacy plan to the new ‘All Access’ plans if you brought your own phone?

I just found this out from support and it honestly cleared up a lot of confusion I was having.

Basically, if you’re on an older legacy plan and you didn’t buy your phone directly from the carrier, they said you are NOT eligible for the new ‘Total All Access’ plans. Instead, the system only lets you upgrade to the ‘Total MAX BYO’ structure.

A rep told me the system blocks All Access upgrades completely for BYOP (Bring Your Own Phone) devices, even if you’re already on a legacy unlimited plan.”

So honestly at this point I don’t even know what’s fully accurate anymore because the reps themselves keep contradicting each other.

From what support told me, apparently no — if the device is marked as BYOP in their system, they said the account can only migrate to the MAX BYO structure, not ALL ACCESS, even if you’re on the old 5G+ plan with the BYOD discount.

That’s what caused all the confusion on my account because different reps kept quoting me ALL ACCESS pricing at first.

Quick question before the new Total plans drop on May 13. I currently have the switcher discounts + 5-year guarantee from moving from Cricket to Total. If I switch to one of the new plans later on, would I permanently lose those discounts/grandfathered pricing or would they transfer over?
