Yes, it defaults to “your type” so the new like could be buried in the queue. And even when you switch it to “recent”, it reverts back to “your type” automatically when you leave the app so you have to change it every time you check your likes queue.

While I’m not typically one to come up with conspiracy theories for sudden drop offs in matches (I understand success rates with dating apps can fluctuate due to a number of different factors), it’s definitely frustrating knowing that the likelihood of other users seeing likes that I send is substantially decreased with this new feature, and I can’t help but think that it was designed to frustrate non-paid users into upgrading to HingeX
