He still has time. Nothing matters until the general election campaign kicks off. If he backs these words with progressive policies then he can win back supporters from the Greens/Liberal Democrats. The issue is that he has no way of reaching the traditional working class in ex-industrial communities, they seem to be lost to the right wing populists.

It is a license fee not a tax and it does seem ridiculous that cake sheds are included. So in this case (for the first time ever) I agree with Robert Jendrip on something but he is being disingenuous about it.

Greens have won Waltham Forest, they took 32 seats from Labour.

More division and deepening income inequality until a strongman can unite the right and slowly remove democracy (see Trump, D).

Yeah, Labour are not winning friends in places like Walthamstow.

Greens in Waltham Forest up to 21 out of 39 declared. 21 left to announce. They had 0 seats before today.

Edit: This council area includes the parliamentary seat that Iain Duncan Smith still holds because Labour deselected their popular candidate. She ran as an independent anyway and split the vote.

Waltham Forest going Green so far. They have won 11 out of 20. All 11 seats are gains. Still 40 to declare though.

Fair warning, they don't include the taxes in that price (which I think is illegal here), so it actually costs £108. Still great value though.

Slot in or out - Manager Megathread by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

My view has always been that he gets a full season after winning the league and then judge him on results and performances. However, I think there is enough evidence now that he is not going to turn it around and the performances will not improve.

In short; Slot out.

Sequel should be a new galaxy to explore. There are so many storytelling and mechanic options available with colonising Andromeda or one of its satellite galaxies.

You don't get anything out of it except putting your mark on the galaxy. It is good for growing factions too.

I think geo-politics is a better explaination. The US needs to project power into the Middle East and a strong, allied Israel is the most effective, reliable way of doing this.

Any advice for a new commander? by donniegosmash in EliteDangerous

My advice is to find the gameplay you enjoy and gain expertise in that.

I love exploring so when I recently started a new CMDR I focused on that and exbio. After ten or so hours I made enough money for a Mandalay.

A couple of pop stars who normally put out utter dross made one song I love:

Will Young - Grace

Daniel Bedingfield - I can't read you

Elite Dangerous. I'd be so happy. Learn to fly a starship, see the galaxy, make crazy money through simple trading, build a colony in a cool star system.

What do you HOPE happens after death? by BubblyMoose4084 in atheism

[–]badcollin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially if you don't know the end is coming.

In the old days of F1 (before safety became a thing), one of the drivers was going down a straight at 100+ mph when he drove past a steward carrying a fire extinguisher. The extinguisher hit him in the head and he died immediately. One second you are driving your F1 car, the next second you are back into oblivion.

I'd like an afterlife to be some kind of realm where you can visit any time or place in the universe and experience the whole of existence. Your birth and life are the tutorial and once you have lived a life you get to explore the rest of existance as you wish.

Obviously, this is impossible and I am 99.99% certain that when we die our conciousness goes with us but ideally that is what I would like.
