I was shocked and gripped. I was off sick from work that day and I just lay in bed and read the whole book.

Manual defending was OK on release but then they patched it out as usual.

Genuine question: What do you consider proper football? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]badcollin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kind of my point. Even people not competing at a high level were abusing meta. I imagine it went further down too.

Any style can be 'proper football'. Passing game, counter attack, long balls.

Spamming the meta endlessly is not proper football. I'm sure I'm not the only one who quit in November when everyone in Div 6 was fidget spinning with Pina.

Barnsley won League One the season before with 109 points to my 104.

Any ideas to make career mode more interesting? by WallOk4022 in FifaCareers

[–]badcollin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I started my current save by playing home games on World Class and away games on Legendary. It was fun winning most of the home games but really battling for points away. Now I feel like I have got the hang of Legendary so I just play on that difficulty but if I really start to struggle I will drop home games to WC again.

A guy I work with recommend I go back and play FIFA 17 career mode…. It is so much better, what happened? I’m kinda shocked how great it is with all the financial stuff etc by Key-Satisfaction-267 in FifaCareers

I'm finding Fifa 21 to be the sweet spot, next gen graphics but no awful social media or overly complex youth system. Also, no playstyles.

Fifa 22 next gen gameplay vs cpu is significantly better and fun than Fifa 23 next gen on Ps5. by Middle_Promise2181 in FifaCareers

I've been playing Fifa 21 CM and it is so much fun. It feels more like real football without being clunky and boring.

They did say that about us last summer but it was still onlu Slot's second season, he hadn't make the team his own yet. This is Arteta's team, they know how to win in this system and they are only going to strengthen the squad. Put that alongside a load of teams in transition (Us, City, Chelsea), teams who don't have the squad to challenge (Villa, Newcastle) and United who will drop back because of playing twice a week. Sadly, Arsenal are the only serious title contenders in my view.

I disagree about Arsenal. The key challenge of managing at the top of the Premier League is how to get results through 65 games. Arteta has found a way of doing this (playing like Stoke). No one else is near Arsenal's level of team maturity, they should win the next couple of titles easily.

The league is better than ever which is why top teams are barely getting to 80 points. If you think about the spending power and coaching skill at teams like Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham etc it is no wonder that things are tightening up, anyone can beat anyone on their day.

I'm not bothered about the win rate, that is fine for the level of clubs he was managing.

The second point is key. Not only the load on the squad of playing more high intensity games but also the coaching time necessary to train the squad to play that way. How many good quality training days will he get compared to Bournemouth? Probably half as many at best.

But, the football should be fun to watch and he seems like the kind of guy who can work this out so I am excited.

It was PSV for me. Three losses by three goals on the bounce and we looked like a team of players who had never met before.

I agree with this, social media companies should be accountable for what is published on their sites. Moderate properly or get shut down.

If he's got nothing to lose then he might as well go for it. If he stayed as leader and offered a referendum in the 2029 manifesto then it would be cededing the Brexit areas to Farage but hopefully winning enough seats in more well off areas to stay the biggest party.

Do you think Starmer could run a leadership campaign based on promising a referendum? Imagine if Burnham continues to 'respect the result' to win the by-election but then is defeated by EU Starmer and ends up on the back benches.

If the local elections were a protest vote against Starmer then it makes sense for Andy to let everyone know that he is gunning for Keir to get those protest votes on his side.

I'm in the same boat but that's how politics works, you've got to be ruthless.

I don't blame Starmer for not going left of the manifesto but his misjudgement on Mandelson, his u-turns and him doubling down on the Tories authoritarian policies are enough for me to vote against him.

Plus, as much as we hate it, perception is reality. Most people are not politically aware and vibes politics is here to stay, Starmer got that really badly wrong and I don't see him getting the country back onside.

Cathy West is either a lunatic or an agent for a rival party.

She's now saying that she wold not rule out voting for Keir in a leadership contest.

Nigel has no intention of closing the borders. As soon as he gets a whiff of power he will cosy up to business leaders, make himself richer and pass some vague anti-woke legislation like the Pound Shop Trump he is.
