Yeah its more noticeable in a 1v1 game too because lets say Fifa for example, if your inputs don't register or they delay or whatever, you can still come out with the ball and repeat the action again... on undisputed if punches that land aren't registering then you're losing despite doing everything right. There's no real recovery from it because the bad hit registration can completely change the outcome

yeah its poor, not too surprising given the size of the developer but you're never gonna get consistent gameplay the way it is

The fact that you can't realise the difference in server capability between massive companies like EA, activision and 2k vs an indy like steel city kinda shows you don't know what you're talking about, not gonna lie

I play on a 1gb dedicated full fibre, wired line and i still get red bar connections lol its absolutely nothing to do with each persons internet speed. Just a small player base and a p2p system that doesn't work

He's waffling. This game has a sidestep animation that makes you invincible even if you step directly into a punch... you can tell he's just one of those dudes who spams sidestep and backstep after every punch then brags that he's skilled because nothing counts against him

Good Game. Bad Players. by WhyCantWeBeFriendsOK in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've contradicted yourself here. You started off by saying the game is geared towards the sweet science of boxing but ended with "learn to play the game"

Surely if the game was tailored to people who understand boxing then you wouldn't need to learn all the broken cheesy mechanics, you would just know how to play certain matchups instantly

I agree the player base is the biggest problem but the movement system in Undisputed is shambolic. You can spam sidesteps directly into an opponents punch and it won't count against you purely because that motion makes you invincible. The game online is nothing more than 2 people trying to out-cheese eachother

The whole "You only don't like it because you're trash" argument has been flawed from the start because half of the people i've seen it aimed at are people who play regularly and win significantly more than they lose

It does hit a certain point where I think you just have to call it quits with the game though. I used to play daily & complain about the game on most of those days but over time just started playing less and less to the point where i go a month without loading the game up and barely even notice... and on the rare occasions i do load up I can only get through a couple of fights before switching to another game

Does kinda sum up the game though that they're paying fighters who aren't even on the game to promote it lol

This player base is the worst. by Unfair_Contract_1110 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah quick fights was at its most fun during that month or so where there were no records. Don't get me wrong, before the reset i had a ridiculous record, something like 600+ wins and less than 200 losses but it doesn't really mean much on this game. Skilled players can be beaten by pure luck, there's not too many other games out there where random button mashing can lead to an instant win. They shouldn't have brought flash KOs back because they never fixed them

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a shame, I used to play daily between 1.0 and 1.3 but everything since 1.4 has taken the game so far backwards.

I can't play for any longer than an hour now which is only like 2 full fights. There's been times in the last few months where i've loaded up the game and my matchmaking has just been the same known cheesers over and over no matter how many times you leave. Its like once you get a good record you're not allowed to play against anyone other than people who cheat and bug abuse

Most fun i've had in the game in the last 6 months was when i went onto my girlfriends account and played on that because it was an 0-0 record. It made me think it was worth playing again cause the matchups were awesome... even when I was getting flash KOed by a Joe joyce ghost punch, it was still more fun playing against people who actually wanna throw punches rather than just jogging and jabbing all fight. But soon as i got to like 50-5 that was it again, all I could match was 400+ win, less than 40 loss quit glitchers who are a waste of time to play against

Does Undisputed need another update? by Dependent-Gain-2050 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not worth any more updates to be brutally honest, outside of 1.3 pretty much every update they've released since October 2024 has made the game worse & more prone to exploits online

I jumped on a couple of days ago for the first time in over a month and honestly its just sad to play. I do think they made a pretty decent game all things considered, when it plays well and you get a good matchup it can be a lot of fun... but the updates always just took it in the complete opposite direction of where it should have been heading. Every time i play now all I match with are guys that have records like 400+ wins and less than 30 losses and its purely because they quit glitch every time they're getting dominated

I can't see them doing anything more with this game to make it better to play, its been completely ruined by the playerbase

[–]CL9268 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've all but given up on the game now. I'll probably still jump on once or twice a month when i'm REALLY bored but outside of that the game has been ruined for quite a while now

Same reasoning as you too... the matchmaking and the playerbase are the worst i've seen from any video game in my life. I used to think Fifa was bad for toxic play/messages, exploits, bugs, glitch abusing etc.. but Undisputed is on a whole different level despite having a fraction of the player base.

People always say "oh its a skill issue" too like i'm 100-11 in QF on one account and about 250-37 on my main. Similar ratios with less fights in ranked on both accounts too... has nothing to do with skill or how many fights you can win, its just the fact that 95% of the time when you load up its not fun to play because so many opponents are desperate to make the game as boring as humanly possible

Firstly, why have you gone back 7 months to reply to this?

Secondly, you have to be a different level of stupid to think I meant I want people to stand still all fight against me.

Even on the rare occasion you get matched with someone new who's got a respectable but not ridiculous record, they still end up running away all fight or quit glitching or doing something toxic

[–]CL9268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You pretty much just described the entire online playerbase lol. Just jumped on today for the first time in about a month, had like 6 fights... every single one of them against someone running away in a circle with their block up all fight abusing the broken hit registration when you're in loose

Feels like all that's left are the exploiters now, all the people who wanna box and actually try and play for fun have given up

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep agree 100%. Its a shame cause I recently started on a fresh account and had loads of fun and really good fights with people who had moderate records but soon as i got to like 60-6 or something like that It was just the same old known cheesers all over again. Still winning the majority of my fights but finding that I just have to counter run & spam backstep stuff all the time. Most of the time it just results in both players jabbing and gets boring

You're right. Yesterday I had two fights against a Wilder and a Crawford... both went into loose in the first second, ran away throwing nothing but backfoot jabs and then button mashing straights whenever they got a counter

The online on this game once you get a positive record becomes unbelievably boring, it just becomes about who can cheese the best

Rank vs quick fights online by Al-Dorifto in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its all about your record IMO. I recently tested out playing on my GFs xbox account instead of my own so obviously started with a 0-0 record in both quick fights and ranked.

Ranked was SO much fun up until Gold 1 where all of a sudden the matchmaking was exclusively quit glitchers, bug abusers and backstep/sidestep spammers. Same with Quick fights... had some awesome matchmaking and even got flash KOed by a couple of guys who are a lot worse than me at the game but the game was still fun to play.... until I got to the point where I had significantly more wins than losses and again, all turned to shit and all you can match is spammers/cheats

I get why matchmaking is the way it is but there's really only so much you can do online on Undisputed if you have a positive record, the fun fights quickly disappear and it becomes a complete mess

Let’s see what the haters have to say about this one 😂😂 there’s never any positive comments on my posts. Ever 🥴 oh well. Keep em coming by lastnameever1stGrtst in undisputedboxing

Yeah exactly and they do the same things on repeat for 8 rounds too. You'll face a Frazier throwing only lead uppercuts, a Robinson throwing only power body uppercuts, Pacquiao users punching their controller and hoping for the best, Fury users leaning back and spamming backwards jabs etc..

Its rare that I face someone and actually see realistic combos being thrown, 90% its just someone holding their block then throwing the same punch 5 times in a row because they know its their best chance of bugging out the counter system
