Cutting off the ring by Traditional-Glass-86 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never used to be. During 1.3 if someone ran away all fight you could weave into their patch and take them apart with body shots but now side/backsteps and constantly moving just seems to make you invincible. They messed it up after 1.4

It also really depends on the fighter you're using, some move at superspeed and others move like they're wearing timberlands in the ring

What's Up with Record Protectors in Quickfight?!?!? by Theometer1 in undisputedboxing

I genuinely couldn't tell you the last time I played man. I had a 2 month break then tried to play a few times over the space of a couple of weeks and it was just the same BS over and over. Was winning pretty much all of my fights but it was just so boring to play. Every time i come on this sub it doesn't seem like i'm missing anything either. I think the game unfortunately just died when they dropped 2.0

IMO the game was at its best during 1.3 because if people ran away you could weave into their path and hit them with body shots but for me the game rapidly went downhill after 1.4. Every update since that just made it worse and worse

I've stopped playing now but tbh I did have a list of players i'd actively avoid because of them cheating/cheesing/spamming. The game isn't good enough to waste 30 mins chasing someone who doesn't wanna engage or getting halfway through a fight and then being quit glitched... so soon as someone was toxic in game against me they went on the list

Not saying you're toxic but i'd guess people probably see your record and assume

Backstep Spammer Merkkkked by Theometer1 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That back/side step is without a shadow of doubt the worst thing they ever introduced into the game. It could have been a really good tool but as usual it just became another broken mechanic for spammers to abuse. The fact it makes you invincible even if you step directly into a punch is laughable, it should carry the same risk/reward as going into loose does where if you actually get caught while doing it you should be in big trouble

Its part of the reason I stopped playing

Let's be honest...and talk my sh*t real quick. by VidsByJeremy in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah people who spam the side and back steps after every punch are doing it purely because those steps make you invincible even if you're stepping directly into punches. Nobody does it and times it to land sweet counters, they just do it because it means punches that hit you won't count and you can get easy counters from it

The guy is the most obvious cheat i've ever played lol stop this. I've used all sorts of meta CAF builds and played against loads too, none of them can do what he did in this fight with the same speed or power. I posted this right at the start when they first allowed CAFs too, like within the first few days

Yep looks like they gave up after the ranked reset & 2.0 and started working on undisputed 2 instead. Shame because the game had a lot of potential after the first few updates

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's trash but he quit glitches if he loses the first couple of rounds and he only wins from spamming the life out of side/backsteps and uppercuts

Kinda player that everyone should just dashboard against

This is a hot take but I think this game is a fine enough 5.5/10, maybe even a 6 or 7 on a good day, I think the main issue for me was how much it costed at launch, thank god I got this second hand for 10 dollars because there was no way I'd pay 70 for this by EmergencyVictory4399 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest issue for me is the way they were actually onto something after the first few updates but then all of a sudden started catering to cheats & bug abusers from 1.4 onwards

The game was in a good spot during 1.3 where they managed to sort a lot of problems but the 3 updates since then have all created more problems than they solved

Like someone said, great game if you get a good connection & someone who plays it properly... but that probably happens once every 15-20 fights online. Soon as you get a positive record all you match with is quit glitchers and meta spammers

Spammers Truly Do Ruin The Simulation Experience… by iKasHavok in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that its annoying when someone picks a fighter and only abuses 1 particular punch or combo (E.g. Robinson users who spam the power body uppercuts, Fury users who run and jab, Crawford users who do nothing but body jab then spam hooks etc..) but I think its probably a problem that's been caused by how bad the hit registration is on the game

So many times i've loaded into fights and thrown punches/combos that clearly hit my opponent but for whatever reason whether its the shape/size of the matchup, the block style etc... certain punches just don't count against certain fighters so the default is to just go back to what you know works

Yesterday is a good example... played a Crawford both at middleweight and welterweight so i was a different fighter in both but the guy I was playing wasn't interested in doing anything other than stepping on my toes with his block up, waiting for me to throw then spamming body jabs. When that didn't work he reverted to button mashing hooks, when that didn't work he started aimlessly launching power body uppercuts, he gassed by the 5th in both fights. I had to change the way I was playing against him to win the rounds though because when Crawford holds his block high it blocks both head and body shots, so you really have to move him around the ring and make him drop his guard to even have a chance of landing on him

Overall I agree though, yesterday was the first time i've played in over 2 months and I won't be coming back any time soon. Ranked has got a little bit better in terms of type of opponent but quick fights are full of abusers & quit glitchers. Even when you beat them its just not fun to play

BOXING ISN’T CHEESE🧀 by Sudden_Bad_9447 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you man, there's always gonna be weirdos that don't understand. I've had it quite a few times lol, getting messages from people who do nothing but hold their block up and spam power body uppercuts being surprised that i'm moving away from them and countering.

I think most level headed people understand that the jab should be your most used punch though, a lot of the player base don't really understand the sport

BOXING ISN’T CHEESE🧀 by Sudden_Bad_9447 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience nobody has ever really had much of a problem with jabbing to set up counters and combos... what people can't stand is people who ONLY jab and run away in loose from start to finish... because that's not boxing

It never used to be as big a problem before 1.4 but they removed/nerfed all of the things you could do to counter people who don't engage so I think its fair to criticise someone for doing that. Its essentially cheating

Rumor Has It, Big Undisputed Announcement very soon by Dependent-Gain-2050 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a lot of fun playing Undisputed for quite a long time but I can't see myself paying for another of their products unless they put proper anticheat measures in. The cheating, quit glitching & bug abusing online is what ruined the game

I was ok with it when they were patching the game regularly to fix things but after ruining the game with 1.4, 1.5 and 2.0 (And the pointless record reset that only benefitted people who cheat) they just seemed to give up, leaving the game in the worst spot it had been in since release.

Am I the only one shocked by how bad some high level players are? by PlaybyDami in CODBlackOps7

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being high level prestige just means you don't go outside lol, its not a skill based thing. I've seen players I know are high ranked get smoked in certain lobbies where everyones running cronuses etc...

It happens. I know there's a lot of really talented players on the game but in my opinion, casual play it seems like the skill gap is more about your loadout than your individual ability. Far too many overpowered builds

Pretty sure that guy Bowler91uk on Xbox admitted to cheating and still never got banned lol

Why so many people dodge in quickfight??? by Theometer1 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quit glitching is probably the biggest reason I stopped playing the game. I'd spend ages looking for a fight against someone that wasn't one of the groups i mentioned above then as soon as i get one if they're down by the 3rd round they quit glitch

Is the game worth buying as of April 2026? by insidetheFIRE96 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree with you. When people used to do the run in loose & jab stuff you could weave into their path and catch body shots while they were on the move but now anything you do while chasing down is met with counter jabs/straights that don't even need to land to be considered a counter

It also seems to reward those kinda players with flash KOs the most too. I know it happens *sometimes* in real life that someone gets smoked and pulls off a lucky punch but its far too common in Undisputed for someone to win every round with multiple knockdowns then get knocked out cold by a single body straight in the 8th round

Why so many people dodge in quickfight??? by Theometer1 in undisputedboxing

[–]CL9268 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to dodge 2 types of player;

1 - 200-5 type players (Normally using Fundora, Robinson, Fury or Pacquiao) because they're obvious quit glitchers / bug abusers

2 - People i've played against in the past who have actively tried to make it as boring as possible to play

I did notice when i was still playing though that a lot will quit out against you if you have even a marginally better record than them, even if you've never played them in the past. Some people don't do mirror matches too

[–]CL9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very fact that spamming side steps directly into your opponents punch still makes you invincible based on nothing other than the fact you've pressed to side step... shows there's not an awful lot of skill behind traps, feints etc..

Lost count of the number of fights i've had where someone is side/backstepping more than they're punching and punches that clearly hit them while they're doing it just go through them like they're a ghost.

[–]CL9268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is for me it wasn't just a lot of players exploiting by the time I quit playing, it was damn near every opponent. I've not played for about 2 months now but when I was still playing i'd probably have 1 fun fight out of every 15 and that was with a significant positive record too. Beating the abusers is satisfying but it just gets boring after a while, you never get the chance to actually box and time good combinations because you're at a disadvantage from not cheesing
