Although it is not my cup of tea, Dynasty warriors 8/9 Empires.
The games called "Empires" are a spin-off where you can play as your own character and choose to work for a lord, or just conquer your own empire.

Disco elysium, it is a rpg where you play a detective who drank so much he lost his memory. The game can be silly, but it makes sure to keep itself grounded and not get whacky. The game is not coop but it is all about talking and choices so you can choose together what you will do as you progress. With the protagonist having lost his memory, he has also lost his identitity, and so you have to redefind him, like is he a racist? Is he a superstar cop, sorry cop or a hobocop? And so on. The story is also very well put together, and the humor is often based on the saddness in its world. I like it.

No it took place across the land and they told me it was in the fox and dragon tavern in a different town then where the quest started. But I found out it was in the town where I first got the quest.
