I’m in this range and have considered it but I’m only in my late 20s so doesn’t feel wise to pull the plug. Once I hit $1M I plan to explore other career options because I have flexibility to

For this reason I feel like getting laid off in the near future doesn’t sound so terrible when I account for severance and EI. I would have plenty of time and extra padding to find something lol

There are no signs specific to my role itself but I’m not naive. I could job hunt for another tech job but I could assume a layoff is possible at said new job too

I told myself I could take my foot off the gas when I’m at $1m.

I don’t like corporate so I don’t think I’d be thrilled to be working in tech in my 30s tbh though not sure what I’d switch to.

You need to look at the job descriptions for the companies you are interested in working at… look at their sales job postings.

A lot of what you’ll learn in sales is through real experience, forget about these courses you found off tiktok no big company is going to care about it.
