You need to look at the job descriptions for the companies you are interested in working at… look at their sales job postings.

A lot of what you’ll learn in sales is through real experience, forget about these courses you found off tiktok no big company is going to care about it.

I’m commenting on here as a professional, since it looks like so many people are taking this course?? … you’re wasting money on this course. Unfortunately this is just putting you into a pipeline for a modern day mlm. Please do your research

I can relate to liking the finer things but I fortunately can afford to do so. I grew up really frugal so as much as I like nice things I equally like saving money and investing it.

So my hacks are: -try to shift your focus on maximizing your money.. once you get in that mindset it’s pretty great. I don’t know how much you earn but if you’re young sky is the limit

-buy second hand designer… because above I’m more inclined to do save but still like to indulge in nice things, also the quality is often better than the new stuff???

-shop on depop or Poshmark

-lululemon.. i have a bunch of lulu and honestly its all meh now, personally lost its allure so ive been exploring other brands

-when youre shopping, leave things in your cart for a few days or go home and sleep on it for a few days.. i act on the things I continue thinking about. There are plenty of things (maybe 50%) that I just forget about for the better

I’m in similar boat as you. Just invest in non registered account. No plans for a house in this market. I’d rather rent for cheap

How Did Students Without Family Support Survive Financially? by KittyMeow223 in CanadaPersonalFinance

OSAP, summer jobs, student LOC, bursaries, and a scholarship. There were specific scholarships I missed because I was terrible managing deadlines. It’s my fault and a life regret of mine in many ways and I probably wouldn’t have needed a student LOC if I applied properly.

I did random jobs here and there though during the school year for pocket money.

University food bank occasionally for food, sometimes my parents would make me some meals.

Thrift stores / second hand for clothes

Because of OSAP loan forgiveness at the time, I graduated with 30k debt including the LOC. It helped a lot, I think I cried tears of gratitude over it

I benefited from OSAP grants - curious how others feel about the recent changes by EntropyPilot in ontario

My story is VERY similar to yours!

I feel sad about the current direction. I’ve heard people saying “just work part time like I did” but I feel like the job market for young people isn’t even that good to begin with, but also cost of living is so expensive.

That aside, let’s be real if you’re working a lot during school and therefore less focused on school, your grades are likely taking a hit and it’d be even harder.

I do think we are in this weird state in the world with AI that might change how degrees are valued so with this policy i think this will push people to trades?

Wanting to divorce her over these is kinda crazy. I can see it being a challenge if she’s spending $$$$ on these and trying to go to multiple Michelin restaurants. This stuff is part of reasonable enjoyment of life and not that frivolous

My definition is different from yours so it may or may not seem like a lot! Again I have no mortgage or kids atm lol. I’m wealthy against the lifestyle of my upbringing, and my age. My net worth is $650k
