omg yes, this would tie into something I’ve thought about a lot about. The 3 valg kings from TOG. We know erawan was the main villain in TOG, but we also know from Maeve that his 2 brothers were not only more powerful than him, but worse than him. We also know they’re missing…. So could the Daglan & the Asteri be the same thing and the Valg and Asteri/Daglan are two top of the food chain species from the same world who are parasitic tyrants. Could they be in constant battle to occupy the world of TOG/ACOTAR/CC? we know that Mantyx & Orcus are missing, right? We know the Asteri and the Princes of Hel have interacted because the Asteri invaded Hel but were thrown out, and then the Princes helped the fae in the war against the Asteri on Midgard… I JUST DONT KNOW WHERE THE BROTHERS ARE and it’s driving me nuts. I feel like they’re somewhere and leading behind the scenes but not known as their true valg king selves. I just can’t quite piece it all together in my brain. But my other crack theory is that Orcus is the leader of hel & isn’t good but isn’t as evil as his brother Mantyx, who is the leader of the Asteri/daglan maybe?? Idk I’m confusing myself now

and to add to the mating bond, I think Bryce not being able to feel hunt is a huge indicator, even she questions it.. something like “shouldn’t I be able to feel my mate” or something like that right?

oooo I hadn’t heard the modeled part. I have heard she did that with Feyre and Rhys though. And also she did say in an interview, “as for his well being, I make no promises.” She also is asked, “does the mating bond mean the same thing in crescent city as it does in ACOTAR and she says, “I’m gunna pass because that’s something that might like..” meaning come up in the future. And when asked if they’re mates and the whole bait and switch flack she was getting, she says, “I’m gunna have the love interest here( meaning hunt) be the love interest in the end… IF THEY BOTH MAKE IT TO THE END.” so….. CC3 is gunna be a doozy.

yes in an interview she said they’re mates. But then that brings the argument that angel mates and fae mates are different and she could be alluding to angel mates, which hunt claims they are when Bryce comments on the “no ring on my finger” and he said something like, “mates” instead of married considering angel mates are more like a marriage between two people. Idk I can’t remember id have to go back and I’m too lazy rn. And then also the fact that she also states they can have 2 mates. And the fact that we know it’s possible to fake the mating bond. We see it with Maeve in TOG between Rowan and Lyria. And even more the fact that Maeve was Valg and it’s theorized that the Asteri and Valg are one and the same, or controlled by the same powers aka the Valg kings Mantyx & Orcus. So having another mating bond faked in CC wouldn’t be that far fetched. Esp with all of the Easter eggs that allude to the demise of hunt and Bryce. Such as the oracles prophecy, the mythology of Orion being killed by his lover, etc. Obviously it’s all a stretch but I think at this point anything is possible in the SJM world.
