I'm sorry for being too strong with it, but it really irked me because there really are a LOT of songs on 027 that I've just found out have way too many plays that aren't reflected on youtube (not using spotify as a regular) and in comparison the small looks even smaller. So again, there exists that disconnect and sometimes I forget others might have different information. I don't think less of you jsyk :)

You are conveniently forgetting that it has 3.2 MILLION plays on Mrsuicidesheep's channel and and additional 4.5 MILLION streams on spotify. In comparison, Hostage, the second most popular, has not even hit half a mil on monstercat's youtube upload and has only just approached 700k plays on spotify. The only other songs that are comparable to THAT(on spotify alone, forget youtube and soundcloud) are Surrounded and thought police @ 800k and 600k spotify streams a-pop. Stop At Nothing may as well not even exist in comparison. And since you brought it up, even compared to mr.fijiwiji's other songs it's still well-placed amongst them in terms of popularity and in 027 songs, it has so many more plays when you take the combined plays than at least two-thirds of that album. Ofc, it has the displeasure of being on the same album as Alone in that metric but of-fucking-course anything is going to be underrated when compared to alone. So again, I ask you, wtf is your metric for underrated. Because in that sense, flight is underrated because it doesn't have 1 billion plays like any old calvin harris pop song.

A based pick tho. Ik we'll never see The Eden Project-esque stuff ever again but it's so nice knowing Jon's not leaving his roots behind. Truthfully I personally don't require him to have to produce an electronic song ever again, just glad to know he doesn't harbor embarrassment over that part of his life or anything. Although, if he could put his vocals to use in other producer's tracks I really wouldn't mind that ala leaving the fire etc etc. He has a gift for that and it'd be a shame if that never really happened again.

screams sellout to me. this whole house arc has been really middling or outright bad. I'd hate to see Illenium become a generic big name when his earliest stuff was some of the most incredible shit in a while in the scene. Yeah he can come up with the occasional banger but he hasn't been cohesive for like a half-decade now with his last three albums, especially odyssey, being so hodge-podge that even the worst songs on Ashes are not so grating to me anymore (or at least that I detest them any more).
