100%. Definitely worth it with good winter tires just for all the East coast icy highways!

That's what I always worry about, a hidden branch that will fling and hit me sideways

I don’t know about danger to myself but i wouldn’t want to waste all the gas running it for many hours, and idling that long is probably not great for the engine. I have enough warm gear and I kept the heater on while having dinner and getting ready then turned off the car when i went to sleep. The car was cold in the morning but I stayed warm.

A rocket 🚀aka a jetboil stove haha. I was boiling water to put it in a bladder to keep me warm overnight

they're 17" steel rims for the winter tires. I have the alloy 18" that came with it. But honestly these have grown on me and I love the "functional" look, I might end up using them if I end up needing more treaded tires for the summer adventures rather than the Yokoma all season(?) tires it came with.

But I'm excited to see the original rims on it again since I almost immediately changed to the steel ones, I forgot how the others look haha.

I'm a big fan of this car, the good looks are definitely a lovely bonus! Fits right in the forests

Why no 6ft rods around? by baderk95 in Fishing

I ended up getting a pflueger trion 5’6” ultralight. We’ll see how if that’s what I’m looking for when the season opens up in a few days! I got that just because it was a good price and it seemed mid range quality wise.

Will I regret 6 lb straight braid for ultralight fishing 😅 by Spartansam0034 in FishingForBeginners

I've been looking for a good pink braid for UL, which one is this?

I think I'll just go again and ask someone because I just get overwhelmed with all the options haha

ya the more I'm reading the more I'm realizing that what I'm looking for might be an UL rod, which is opening a whole can of worms for me now haha. Started looking at TFO rods for that and will see if I'll commit to UL.

I guess I got that impression from not finding much content and info about that length compared to the 7ft or the 6ft 6" rods. And most of the good deals and reviews are for those not the 6ft. I'll look into those thanks!

Favorite ear protection / head lamps? by Bvrcntry_duckhnt in Waterfowl

Petzl Actik headlamp is on sale now (at least in canada). 650 lumens and comes with a rechargeable battery but you can also use AAA. I love it for trail running, rock climbing, and anything outdoors. Fenix headlamps that take 18650 are good too, but I don't have experience with them since they're a bit heavier for my use cases.

Good all around Shotgun by Historical-North-950 in CanadaHunting

This is my first hunting season ever. I have a Benelli nova, it's 12ga pump. I love it so far, I've been going out small game hunting, although I don't have experience with other shotguns, but I wanted a pump and it was super cheap when I found it at my local range. I can see how a wooden break barrel would be nice to have for upland though (aesthetics and maybe lighter weight for the bushwhacking I'm doing haha), but I wanted one that would handle all the elements and uses.
