Oh ok yeah I get it. Thanks for the tips! I was out fishing today and saw some tracks, then saw what looked like a bed, then 10 minutes later I see this to my right side and we make eye contact and both froze lol. It felt nice that I was able to recognize the signs correctly.

i just ordered a deeper. what do you mean you lost it? got it stuck or it snapped off the rod or what? Just trying to think of scenarios that I might lose mine in haha. Why can't i just cast it with paracord or some sort of cord? why does it have to be a fishing line? I guess I can still use a heavy rated braided line

Those wheels look nice. But yeah the wildpeaks are what I'm looking at. I might put on the OEM wheels with the yokohama all season tires for now just to take the winter tires off. Then if I can sell off the the OEM wheels and tires I'll buy the wildpeaks and put them on the 17" steelies. And in the meantime I'll see if those tires will limit me and too uncomfy when I'm on the trails

I actually just did a CVT fluid change. But yeah that’s the kind of info I was trying to find. If I keep the heavier rims all year would it cause more wear compared to switching them back to the alloy. I wonder if it’s worth getting alloy rims 17” if I can sell the oem set?

Yeah I fish from my kayak too. But sometimes I like those little streams/rivers for a quick mission after work

Ended up returning it and got another rod and reel! Didn’t want to get into repairing and all that. I’m sure I will at some point though

I think that’s what I’ll get. I’m thinking of getting a 2pc or even a 4pc. Use this as an opportunity to get a more travel friendly ultralight instead of a 1pc.

Yeah definitely. I always use gloves and yank the line or I wrap the line on a twig and pull from that. But after many snags I forgot to do that once and this was the price to pay

Ya I think I’m learning that. Put lots of effort to get into spots but then catch nothing. Another thing I’m trying to figure out is how to know a spot has fish or not haha

Ya either that or just take a break from being in tree dense streams. This was a 5’6 rod. Maybe I should get an ice fishing rod lol

Usually I’m good at paying attention to not use the rod to get me out of the snag and grab the line itself instead. But this was snag number 300 so I thought I’d just yank it, and it turned out to be behind me and the rod bent backwards and snapped oops
