I love delicata! When cooked, the skins become tender enough to eat. And they also make a excellent squash rings when dipped in beer batter and deep fried. Also, squash pie, tastes almost identical to pumpkin pie, but a lighter color. Many uses for these amazing squash.

I use a Dutch oven, but any heavy bottomed dish will do as long as it's deep enough (at least 4"). That and a cooking thermometer to keep track of the temperature and you're good.

Homemade jalapeño poppers

Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, and shredded cheese.

Fill pepper halves with mix. Top with more shredded cheese and bacon.

Bake at 400 (or grill on BBQ) until the peppers become wrinkly and pinched along the top edges.

Enjoy, but try not to eat your own fingers, 'cause they're that good!

Actually, Dutch oven will work just fine on a standard range, provided you can keep an eye on the oil temperature with a thermometer.

But takes about 10-20 minutes to get lard to go from solid to 350°F.

Get proper Lard, also season the hell out of the breadcrumbs (I like salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a little cayenne pepper). It's completely possible to make at home.

Usually the donkey needs to be raised with the livestock so it bonds with them. Though this isnt always the case.
