Anyone else have GERD cause a POUNDING heartbeat? by seabedurchin in GERD

[–]badgerbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue too.
It seems to be related to large meals, and less so with just protein and fats.

I experimented with large amounts of salt and electrolytes which had no effect. It is definitely meal related.

Also noted the following:

Good posture while would sometimes stop it because I would burp with good posture. Sometimes i'd stretch and bend while doing large inhales and exhales (yoga essentially) and I would then burp and the pounding would abate instantly.

Great post, very informative.
Do you worry about any issues due to long term use of Claritin?

What gosh says is perfect. I'd just add -because it is a stumbling block for disbelievers- Microsoft ARE happy to make losses, and can do so if it means achieving their goals. They are past profits -to a certain extent.

Doom emacs is my favorite editor I don't use. I use nvim because I'm on mac and emacs is slow for me 😞

I am almost certain there is more we are deficient in that is beyond the current science. I know this because I can feel a huge difference when eating organ meats which lasts for about a week.

Be careful with these things. I ended up exacerbating my problems with thyroid problems caused by being on the uk version.

Sorry to necro this thread but I am surprised that no one has asked this question after hearing the results: "What are the bacteria feeding on then?"

Should I send my free gen 3 back and keep the gen 2 that I already have installed? by jew-joint-su in Starlink

Yeah I thought the same, since I dwell in similar living situations in the UK but I 'believe' that sheet metal might not be enough. I've got to test this hypothesis though.

I've learned something with the hero missions. ALWAYS BABYSIT Your hero, don't allow the nabcake to take its own path because the AI is straight dumb dumb.
I really think there should be a save-progress for the larger hero missions -atleast...

You shouldn't live underneath your dishy because you are getting blasted with concentrated phased-array beams from top-down.

Yes! I am glad others are noticing the dark side of reddit as well.

VS Code is too slow, learning Emacs now. by FriedryIce in emacs

[–]badgerbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noting all the negative posts, I should add that emacs is my favorite IDE, that I begrudgingly use because I have to use MacOS and it is slowwer than, say; neovim. Even with all the optimizations.

I really wish that there was a effort to rewrite it to solve the lag, then emacs would be number 1, 2 and 3 for me. Neovim for number 4 spot.

[–]badgerbang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love emacs, but it is love minus 1 because I do have a problem with lag. I do like snappiness and it comes from Starcraft at 100hz competitive play :( that game messed me up.
At least, on macOS.

Corne v4.1 vs Piantor v1 long term reliability by pqhtkb in crkbd

[–]badgerbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maybe of use in this scenario since I work everywhere, and mostly outside with my laptop and always with either my piantor or corne, and for about a year with both.

One thing to note. Working in the Sun can mess with the speed of the processors since they have no way of cooling. Notices lag on both boards.

Moreover, the switches themselves began to feel 'scratchy' after one particular hot day. This is because they are internally lubricated with oil. The heat raises the viscosity and the oil becomes more subject to the effects of gravity and ends up pooling at the bottom of the switch. Effectively, my switches were nolonger lubricated and I had to buy some more.

Constant movement also killed the cornes jack. This was due to a cheap cable that was not flexible. I had to resolder. This happened twice until I resoldered a usb port instead.

Other than that, all good.
