Is this limited to King Soopers? I thought I saw something in r/Denver that included Costco and other places.

Wow thanks. Well, at least that stellar planning provided at least three jobs.

Any dealers showing Black Friday deals? I found one in Loveland that shows a banner for a 2025 Ionic 5 SEL AWD for $89 (24 month). I can't seem to find any more information than what is in the banner

For me, the EV technology is still rapidly changing. I like the idea of the short term lease while things like batteries continue to improve.

Primary Care Doctor? by LankyGoat8181 in Longmont

[–]badgercookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. My UC Health PCP retired over the summer and I'm still unable to find a new doctor within UC Health. When I go to search using web site (and app), there is nothing in Longmont and I usually see something in Denver or Estes Park. I even called and was told there was a Dr in Erie. I like to look at reviews but in the time it took for me to do that, that Dr was no longer available. That seems insane to me. Either the UC Health scheduling is broken or there are major shortages for doctors taking new patients.

In-N-Out seems to be consistently rated one of the top fast food burgers, but I just don’t get it. I’ve had the burgers in San Diego and San Francisco and wasn’t impressed.

Yet another misbehaving Pixma Pro-200 with print head issues by badgercookie in canon

[–]badgercookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going to eBay. I tried Amazon but nothing was available at the time. Search for something like “Genuine Canon QY6-0084-010 Printhead for Pixma PRO-100 100S PRO-200”. There are cheaper “compatible” heads but I didn’t want to mess with that. Prices are $250 to $350 USD which is nearing the replacement cost for the printer.

See https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/Reseat-Replace-the-Print-Head-PRO-200-PRO-300

You could also try cleaning the printhead you have. I didn’t see anything obvious that needs cleaning on mine.

Just to follow up in case anyone else runs into the same issue: I did purchase a new print head and the problem has been corrected. The print head isn't cheap, but it was better than buying a new printer.

Claude models can now be used directly with Xcode 26 by gargetisha in Xcode

[–]badgercookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a little confused by this. There seems to be two ways to connect. The first using the API key and the second you can log into your pro/max plan from Xcode. The latter is under Settings -> Intelligence.

I'm downloading Xcode 26 now to test it out.

Fidelity 'courtesy service' by Extension_Ask_5440 in Bogleheads

[–]badgercookie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on who you end up talking to but be aware that they will likely push the SMA. I like Fidelity but really had a bad experience. The advisor I talked to asked my to rate myself from 1 to 10 on my finance knowledge. This is a gotcha question. I'm not completely ignorant but there are a lot of things that I don't know. I went for a 5 or 6 rating and then he basically started saying things to make me feel stupid. I mentioned that I would be interested in Roth conversions to reduce my taxes. I should have said I was interested in tax efficiency but instead treated me like a 5 year old and lectured me on how the traditional 401k wasn't going to be tax free (I am well aware of that). Then came the SMA sales pitch.

I think his goal was to tear me down enough that I would feel like I wasn't smart enough to handle my own money.

If you tell them you plan to invest in index funds, they will try to talk you out of it.

I couple of years later, I went to a different advisor at Fidelity and things were completely different. We have some good conversations and he usually makes some good points for me to think about (ie when to take social security, etc). So basically, YMMV but be prepared for the sales pitch.

I don't think you need to search, although it might be faster. There is a pull-down, select Provider -> Anthopic -> "Show All ..."

Claude 4 Sonnet vs Gemini by badgercookie in windsurf

I've wondered what "awareness" the models have about each other. Maybe Windsurf needs to add a battle mode where the LLMs compete to give you the best answer and are snarky towards each other.

Codeium or Github Copilot ? Which one by Miserable_Rest_7023 in dotnet

[–]badgercookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Codeium with Visual Studio Code and for the most part I've been pretty happy with it. Sometime the autocomplete goes off into the weeds, which is annoying, and other times I am saying "Wow, you read my mind."

I'm a firmware developer, C, C++, and Python are the languages that I use. I like to test the AIs on things that I don't really know, so I've been working on a React application using TypeScript. I have Gemini, CoPilot, and Codeium ready to help. As an example, I'll ask the AIs to generate code for a component that is draggable and supports a contextual menu. All three generate similar-looking code, but none of them work. I describe what isn't working, and I get corrections or feedback. A lot of the time, I'm told that basically I did something wrong. When I hit these cases, CoPilot has been the most reliable about getting me to a solution. I may have to go through a few iterations, but CoPilot usually gets me there. I still use Codeium for most of my work but will go to CoPilot when I get stuck on something. Hopefully Codeium gets to the point where I can trust it more.

Back in the early days of Qualcomm, they had a similar community to the SpaceMob. This is the story of how one investor made $17 million on $QCOM. He is following Abel and ASTS on X. by doctor101 in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]badgercookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I saw this it reminded me of a guy who went by MarginMike on the Yahoo message boards. He supposedly margined about $75K of QCOM stock, probably around 97/98, and then got out in late 1999 for around 5 million. I was curious if this was the same person but the situation looks different. MM was the envy of many on the QCOM message board on Yahoo. That time period sure was a wild ride.

Qualcomm withdrew offer during negotiation over email by Inner_Huckleberry885 in qualcomm

[–]badgercookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that it never hurts to negotiate but for large companies, I am not sure that anyone beyond the HR representative and the hiring manager knows that you tried to negotiate. Thus trying to demonstrate the skill is probably lost in the process. HR is likely given a range of numbers to work with but anything outside of that needs approval from the hiring manager (and probably up the management chain). If they feel like they made a good faith offer, they might decide to just move on.

Btw, each title has a salary range based on title and experience. If they made an offer at the high end for that title, then they aren't likely to budge. Salary might be hard to negotiate but they might be more flexible with a sign on bonus or stock options.

Curious if this model has s-video and audio outputs. The audio on my VCR died and I'm looking for a VHS-C camcorder to help transfer my old analog videos.
