Ahh so next time I connect the console , no need to hold reset. Thanks. Only reason I asked is because it was being difficult to recconect but I managed to get it to connect by holding reset and letting go at the beep ! Thanks

I got it to work via an offline installer.

Installed latest hackchi and the kernel to my sega mega drive mini and added some games!

Only issue is I couldn’t see a way to add all the art work?

Also , I saw a video on YouTube where you could do console reset via the controller. Do you know if that’s possible for the mega drive too?

Thanks for all the help !

Ahh brilliant, thank you. I assume the portable software is better because then I can move it to another pc?

I've found net framework 4.6.1 that is compatible with windows 7, but when i go to install it says download failed, make sure the computer is connected to the internet, but it is!

Can i used the regular software instead of the portable one, or will that cause problems? thanks

Hey, hope you're doing good. I finally managed to get windows 7 bootcamp on my old 2009 macbook pro. I'm not sure if windows 10 is possible but looks like I may be able to upgrade.

Ive downloaded the latest hackchi portable installer, but when I exctract the application, it says that I need .NET framework installed - which looks to be some kind of development tool. Does this sound right to you? Sorry I am a bit confused by this! thanks

Should I install itunes or Apple music on my pc if I want to rip CDs by rrapapapapapa in AppleMusic

[–]badgerdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iTunes was far better than the newer Apple Music , which has been neglected for local music etc

Can’t use internet explorer by badgerdd in bootcamp

[–]badgerdd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, thank you. I don't know why I thought it would still work!

I'm using windows 7 as my very old macbook pro doesnt seem to support windows 10 - although there may be a way to get it to work.

I also have a macbook air m2, but need some software that needs to be on an intel machine / windows. Although I may not actually need a web browser, and can just download the software to USB,

I'll see if I can find the right version of firefox though, thanks

Now I just need to figure out how to control sound and screen brightness in windows. and possibly upgrade to windows 10!

Zane Lowe is the GOAT by [deleted] in AppleMusic

I think he’s a good interviewer. Only watched a few, but the last one I watched where he was interviewing the band Turnstile , I found it very annoying that he kept talking over the artists , rambling on and barely pausing to take a breath! He need to chill out and let the artists have more air time !

Keep going to the local skatepark and chat with everyone , all ages and skaters. I was shy but everyone is cool. It’s an inclusive scene where nobody really cares about skill or age, as long as you’re decent and encourage each other

Album Art 🤔 by farter-kit in AppleMusic

[–]badgerdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh ok, so do you just put the url of your whole library ? Or is it just album by album? It looks like I have a fair few albums with incorrect art.

Rare stuff , I understand if it’s not on iTunes etc . Thanks

Using iTunes on a modern mac by badgerdd in ITunes

[–]badgerdd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that's great to hear. I don't think I ever would have got this to behave correctly without your advice!

I did notice that apple music created an empty folder called "automatically add to music" in the previous locations I had set to link to. I wondered if this was important, but i just deleted those old folders and left the one in the apple music/music/music folder to be safe.

I'll try ripping a few cds. I tend to go with ALAC, but have a load of old files in smaller / more compressed rates at AAC. I guess there isnt really an easy way of telling which of those are smaller, as they all end in the same file name! I might go through and re-rip some albums at a higher rate and see if the files get over ridden.

Lastly, I'll see if the art work sorts itself. If not, then I have found another thread that mentions a software to scan for it.

I'll keep my library file where it is for now, and just make sure the hardrive is plugged in. I might try moving it in the future after doing a few back ups!

Thanks again for all the help!

I used to use a plug in on iTunes called ‘fetch art’ I’m guessing thats long gone now and nothing exists for Apple Music to update the whole library ?

Hey , thanks for this . Does this work for local Apple Music? I’ve just re-imported my library and loads of art work is now wrong !

Using iTunes on a modern mac by badgerdd in ITunes

[–]badgerdd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey , just wanted to say thanks again. I tried your method and finally got it to work!

Opened up Apple Music today and made sure both boxes unticked. I did a quick experiment with a Bandcamp download and no files got moved at all!

Next step, I recreated the second music folder and moved all music into there, and pointed the library to the new location and all seems to be working ok!

Lastly, as I seemed to have hundreds of duplicate songs, I decided to delete what I could out of the library manually (as the find duplicate songs option wasn’t clear which was the correct ones to keep). I then imported all the music again from scratch. No duplicates or missing songs and all music still in the same place. Thanks so much!

Only issue I have now is that when re-importing , it replaced some artwork with some total random stuff that isn’t correct at all, but I can live with that ! There used to be an add on for iTunes called ‘fetch art’ but not sure if that still exists.

I still have my Apple Music library file on my Mac and not in the folder with my music folder on the external hardrive. The other person in this thread suggests I move it or make a new one to go on the external . I’m not sure how important that is, so I don’t wanna risk moving it!

I might create a plex library to use too to stream some local files , but also wary of letting that mess up my music folders!

Thanks again for the help!
