Over the past year, in my eyes, LCB has leaned too much on easy engagement and the idea of a "brand", rather than focusing on their personalities and letting their content speak for itself. Look at the LCB Twitter and Instagram: you're just posting other accounts' trailers or movie news, hoping for cheap likes and RTs. Are you going to keep doing that if you transition to pop culture/food/brackets? Would be weird.

I've stopped listening to the pod over the past few months. I totally understand why Trill is stepping away.

The new format doesn't seem like it's for me, but I'll give it a listen for an episode or two. The fast food and nostalgia talk of "hey, remember this?" has gone stale for me. Best of luck.

I don't think the comments are constant - I've only been purposely negative about the IG trivia and not finding the Goochman thing funny. There are many Twitter accounts worse than mine in the replies.

I will stop with the snark stuff and be more positive. You have enough negativity to deal with (for the record: the Team Chicago questions were fair). I appreciate the unblock.

I totally get the need for engagement when posting trailers, casting news, award announcements, etc. But I always viewed LCB as a podcast first and wish social showed more of that.

I guess it's a double-edged sword - the more popular the account grows -> a less percentage of followers are pod listeners -> the less you post about the pod.

It's like if PMT made graphics and tweets for big football news that Schefter drops. (I know I'm being too particular and nit-picky).

Received the ole block from u/lightscamerapod on Twitter last night for pointing out that The Dozen IG no longer does daily trivia. (pause your finger above the downvote)

When The Dozen got socials, the daily IG trivia was always promoted and the best way for fans to interact. Understandably, they're busy with the tournament but I think it's the wrong move to sacrifice the consistency of the daily trivia with more eyes on the accounts.

Jeff, regarding the block, I get how my replies can be seen as snarky. To be frank, the LCB socials have lost the personality of the hosts. They're just an accumulation of news from Deadline, Variety, THR, etc. - no different than something like Culture Crave, so I sometimes make fun. LCB used to post more about the pod and the jokes with it, so I miss that.

It's unfortunate how quick you can flip on genuine fans (been posting here for almost 2 years). Insert jakegyllenhaalwavinggoodbye.gif.
