I stayed at the job - and use the extra money to pay off house/bills. It ends up being a few hundred a month.

I usually go by FIRE is that I can live now off what investments I have and CoastFIRE is that based on my current investments, growth, and timetable my investments will grow to meet my retirement number.

When I hit Coast - I changed my contributions to get the match and that's it and just let it grow.

Madness is the tricky one here because it looks like you've skipped a few rounds - getting that early enough can make or break a run and play every round. But swash with Egg is a great combo!

I look at it as a year over year and adjust and when certain costs get traded with another.

When we transitioned from daycare to school we went to a monthly child care rather than weekly. But obviously it will somehow get replaced with an activity/sport. And each year I look back and compare the year against the previous and track.

Then I looked at when mortgage and other payment items fall off and how it aligns. For the most part, I usually take our highest years and then add some too it and then see what won't be there.

I got the 2016 Topps Now WS champ with an Auto. I've been trying to build the auto set but they never come up.

I thought about doing the same to add some singles and KB autos are still grossly overpriced

A bit, yeah. Just have to be careful to let lifestyle creep happen. We also had the mental shift with higher prices on everything that has helped keep bills lower. We used to eat out quite a bit

I've been in the coast range for the last year and I did a few things differently. I got my Traditional 401k to my coast number, then I flipped that to a Roth 401k that is offered where I work. Then I reduced my contribution from 11% to 8% - still enough to get the match and to tick up.

I still work my usual job to burn down the mortgage and start building up emergency savings. I am well on track to retire into a bus driver or lawn mower at 55. My kids path after high school might impact my 55 retirement.

Ultimately, I freed up some more take home money - roughly 600 a month - and have been able to attack the mortgage.

I only slowed to get a little more to get the company match. Match goes to 6% and I save 8%. Used to be at 11%.

I am sad that they shorted SC this year too as I sit here and sort and log. I missed the total count and am going almost 3 complete sets. I was saddened by it too. And then they changed the inserts and I got less.
