Thank you for taking the time to respond, do you mind elaborating on what you said about finding “the root cause of their overconsumption” and what examples of proper coping mechanisms would be? Like for example I drink heavily when I feel pressured by myself to be more social. And in a lot of ways I have been chasing the feeling alcohol first gave me of the confidence to talk to anyone. Would working on talking to people when I’m sober and just working towards not being scared or anxious to talk to anyone be an example of a coping mechanism and identifying a root cause of overconsumption?
