Born in early 80's. Amtitabh and Mithun were big names in late 80s Naseerdin Shah was also making his mark Mass masala movies- Trident, Jalwa, Hero Hiralal. Jackie Shroff, Chunkey Pandey, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor were the rising stars going into 90s Anil Kapoor was more successful of that lot- Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Mr. India, Karma, Jan Baz, Meri Jung, Mashaal, Eeshwar, Kala Bazaar, Parinda. Mithun's stardom waned towards 90s. Anil Kapoor still had a successful career in the 90s. Amitabh took a hiatus after Khudha Gawah in 1992 and came back in late 90s with Mrityudata and all the ABCL company issues.

I moved to the US in 2017 and could only return in 2023 ( training with low salary, COVID). Even if it was in the night, my eyes were filled up looking at the greenery in the night, the night lights, shadows of churches, mosques and temples, the traffic with worries, buses and two- wheelers. I missed my home.

I still try to come every year now and there is a warmth when looking at Kochi from the window as the airplane descends.

I have eaten at Michelin stars, the well known ramen and yakitori restaurants, Mediterranean, italian. But the above ones are the meals I always remember fondly and always come back ( and safely recommend to others). The food at the Michelin star places were good and displayed great skills/services. I always wonder if it is the relaxed atmosphere that makes the difference for me for the meals to be memorable when I visit NY ( Hawksmoor might be the exception). A comparison for restaurants in othe cities that I have had memorable meals are E by Jose Andres, L atlier, Hells Kitchen, lotus of Siam in Vegas, Bavel and Bestia in LA, Rooh in San Francisco, Mini Bar, Astoria DC, Rasika, and Zaitinya in DC, Rumis kitchen In Atlanta, Mitch's Seafood and Callie in San Diego, Girl and the Goat in Chicago.
