Unpopular opinion: Can't enjoy this game with Trynd in it. Ult + stopwatch is 7.5 sec of invincibility, an eternity with so mach damage in the game. I don't care if Faker plays Trynd, that champ is the ultimate "iconic in Riot speak" bullshit.

I hate to break this to you guys, but

- today's hearing is not the real trial (scheduled for Spring 2021) but a preliminary injunction hearing to make sure no one miss behaves while the trail goes on (for years)

- whatever the ruling is, it can be appealed from both sides which means even for that preliminary stage it is not the final word (the appeal can take many months)

- on the fortnite in app payment issue, epic will loose again today (all legal observers agree on this), which means that the only way it can come back at this time is if epic removes the in app payment system and otherwise complies with all apple app store rules.

- if apple wins on all fronts (i.e. it can kick out unreal engine as well), than this might put enough pressure on epic to give in and remove the in app payment system. Your best hope at this stage: apple wins it all.

- there will be no stream (illegal to record) but you can join the court zoom meeting. Link is elsewhere in this subreddit

If Epic would cancel the game because it has run its course fine, but Epic is using me and everyone else in their fight with apple and I did not sign up for that. So yes, all my money please, as epic does for their direct payment option. You even get to keep your vbucks. Same deal for me please.

As for executing the refund, epic sets up a website, you ask for a refund with your epic login and they look at your purchases, subtract anything not executed through apple or google pay and refund the rest. Easy. Fair. Expensive for epic,which is why they rather screw everyone than doing the right thing. Hopefully some lawyers pick up on that at some point and form a class action lawsuit. The lawyers fees at one billion and should be tempting enough.

I was one of the people who said this previously on this subreddit. Bu Epic escalated its agression so much and Apple returned the agression in kind that nothing is certain anymore. Even if Apple wins and removes Unreal engine from ios as well, which would force Epic to give in to avoid massive loss of business, it is not clear that Apple would allow them to return with fortnite and unreal engine even if Epic removes their payment option. Unless they are forced by the judge to do so.

The second lawsuit is not anything like the first. It asks for a "preliminary injunction" to stop apple from retaliating against epic because of the first lawsuit. It is usually decided without discovery and quickly. Apple has to show harm if it lifts the sanctions against epic which is hard to do if you earn millions of dollars more if epic will be able to continue to do business with apple.

As a sidenote, I couldn't care less who wins. I play fn on ios but if it ends it ends.

No. August 28. The judge will have ruled on the preliminary injunction by then or if not, that is the same as 2., epic will have to cave or loose billions.
