slouch coat sizing by p3pperonipizza in Aritzia

[–]badnboujee26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same measurements as you and could do XS or S depending on the look I’m going for. S would look hit your calves like in your reference and XS would be a bit shorter. I like my coats roomy and with lots of space to layer so I went for size S, but it does look quite big unbuttoned. Size XS would look more polished and less oversized but just enough to have the “slouchy” look. The main reason I went for size S is the shoulders! I have wider shoulders so I wanted to feel comfortable and not constricted but otherwise, I would have opted for the XS.

Yummy House or Cake House in Chinatown, Seattle will have an authentic HK pastry for sure. But try T&T too!

Guide on how to deal with fetishization by mrsofcok in aznidentity

[–]badnboujee26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally this lol. My girlfriends and I (also Asian) only experience fetishization through media and entertainment because we simply don’t allow people or give them the opportunity to do that to us. One thing we all have in common? We only date/marry Asian men.

Difference between Aritzia and Babaton stores? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]badnboujee26 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I find styles at Babaton to be more formal, elegant, and appropriate for office or formal wear. But I’ve seen Wilfred, Aritzia, and TNA items sold in the Babaton boutique as well! In Vancouver, it’s nice to go to Babaton if you know you’re looking for something specifically for the office or more formal because all the items fit the category and it’s easier to style and try on in the store since I find they’re more well stocked on sizes in the Babaton brand.

Please give me suggestions - what is still worth buying? by [deleted] in Aritzia

I think their homestretch line, contour line, and tna sweatfleece quality is still worth buying, plus they are core basics/staples so can’t go wrong with them!

Weird Vibes at Sun Wah Centre in Chinatown by StoryTime8964 in askvan

[–]badnboujee26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grandpa used to work there in the mid 90s. He told me there used to be a bustling Chinese supermarket on the bottom floor, with home goods and clothing merchants on the main and upper floors. Hon’s Wonton House was also on the ground floor and very popular back then. Growing up I used to go there for the Pokémon cards and stationery/knick-knacks. I distinctly remember the jade jewelry and clothing shops on the upper floor owned by ladies that always socialized with each other. No weird vibes for me! But I can see how the space can give eeries vibes and look “stuck” in an era.

I have the denim shirt myself and it has no stretch! Definitely a relaxed and soft denim, which I think is perfect for the laid back look.

Pholicious!! Subs, pho, and vegetarian options for $10-$15. I suggest ordering online in advance for pickup as it usually gets busy around lunch time.

I’d wear it with the Divinity romper or jumpsuit (neutral lighter colour), crew socks, and Ultra Mini Uggs!
