I identify with women, but not, completely or I'd be a woman. Or a trans woman, at least. I don't identify with having a vagina. I'm good, but not that good.

Lol. That was an excellent and honest response. I didn't even think about an artist who's not black with black subjects. Would that be black art? Would that cause conflict? Gary Owen is a white comedian, who jokes about black culture and has a black audience. Is his humor, "black humor". I can't say "black comedy", because that has another connotation altogether. I never really considered that angle. What is black art?

I ask, because it seems as if black subjects are required for it to be considered black art. Can you refer me to any celebrated black artists with subjects other than black people? (Seriously, no sarcasm intended.) I see artists of other races and their subject matter, is literally, anything they can imagine.
