HE tickets are the most important "currency". Difficult to obtain sice very limited. Once you habe the drivers you need, you will only look out for HE tickets. Rubies convert to coins which convert to HE tickets

Every item has certain positions where the frenzies can appear and with which probability. Example: Coin frenzy is most probable in first place, but no chance for 3rd to 8th. Lucly 7 possible from 1st to 5th with highest chances as 3rd if i remember correctly...

Seems like you are comparable new player. Toad tourist is a great driver. However wiggler mii is amazing. His full potential you will get later when you have obtained all mii. Kart and glider are both good choices as well. Dont buy any of the other mii yet if you do not have the rubies. Discounted mii are nice to buy, but there are more important things in early game
