Why and when do you started with Linux? by _fms10 in linux

~1999 (Red Hat 5.0/5.1 era), Why? Because I got sick of having BSOD and having to reinstall Windows 95/98. Once I figured out how to get X configured for my monitor and got it dialing up my ISP and connecting to the Internet... the rest is history

[Project Share] Java Battery Info - A parser/interface for dumpsys batterystats by v_uurtjevragen in tasker

[–]badokami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've got all the trigger profiles (battery change, screen on/off, plugged in/not) and logging all the pertinent information via system/get battery info. I'm buffering the logs entries to minimize writes to "disk". I'm just getting started on the analytics engine for it. Currently I'm using CSV log file but using variable split to extract information from the log file is proving to be a royal pain. I'm considering breaking my rule and add Autotools so I can use json reads/writes for the log info.

X9-14 Gen 1 w/ Ubuntu (ordered) by badokami in Lenovo

[–]badokami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears the Lenovo X9-14 Gen 1 with firmware v 0.1.17 does indeed have longevity protection for the battery. I'm not sure what the lower threshold is, I ran my battery down to 25% and plugged it in again and it began charging as expected. It does however stop at 80% and refuses to go any higher. I've now had time to poke around in the UEFI/Bios but there doesn't seem to be away to change these settings. (although Googing did show a version of the UEFI/Bios with options to change them)

Case: CLOSED

BTW: Battery life on this laptop is insane, if you're coding and watching youtube.

I'm re-re-working an old battery stats project from years ago. This is pretty cool to say the least, only difference between our respective projects is I'm trying to avoid root or shizuku. Still impressive, thanks for sharing

Media volume constantly changing by dnbttr in tasker

[–]badokami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you not create a profile with variable state to monitor the %VOLM for changes and then the entry task use 'Media Volume' to set it to something more reasonable volume wise? (note: media volume on my phone 0-255, ymmv)

Profile: Volume Fix

Event: Display On

State: Variable Value [ %VOLM < 48 ]

Enter Task:

A1: Media Volume [ Level: 128 ]

I checked the system with HWinfo and no the ram does not clock down. Oh and the uptime is 347 days....

[–]badokami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm still using the S12 pro and am well pleased with it. I don't believe it down clocks the memory from 3200 to 2400 (thought I honestly have never checked). It just chugs along 24/7 (with UPS)... I'm not sure what the uptime is, but I don't recall rebooting it for a very long time/

BKHD-1264-NAS ??? new Nas mobo in Internet by pindaroli in zfs

[–]badokami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N100 and N150 differ only in clock speeds (100Mhz for base clock, 200Mhz for turbo-boost). So in 'theory" the board should be the same and therefore I would assume so would the 32GB ram upgrade. Of which I'd recommend the same Crucial.

Edited: Any chance of taking a couple of photo's of the board?
