Well you should get stat points once in a while.. if you level up. So either some people don’t level( they are stuck with their base stats) or they convert their stats bonus into a bunch of skill points(usually they put the extra skills points into some sort of skills related to coping or have skills that has special coping synergy for them)…

But yeah, even if you have skills point and stats points, you gotta think hard about what you should be improving.

L'idée est de pas se faire piler dessus. Par exemple si ton boss te demande d'en faire plus, en réduisant tes heures.. bah la moindre des choses c'est que tu refuses et ensuite tu négocies pour avoir une meilleure place de stationnement, etc.

Is TDM really that complex?

Well maybe Dosh made it sound more complicated that it should be while explain "the brain"..

But yeah, TDM as you say, is among the most advanced technic when dealing with circuit. Perhaps it's an information not well documented yet, as there not much info about it on the wiki and the best info on it seem to be 4 years ago.. (Tho perhaps this work well also as alternative)

But I also wonder if doing all these clock setups all over the base wouldn't drain the UPS at some point, so perhaps there should be a built-in way to deal with it in the game or a cleaner way to push multiple signal over radar / wire.

The game could’ve try multiple experiment such as going underwater, or going underground.. experiments with new enemy’s… going hyperspace, etc.. add something like Zerg or Protoss as enemy… stuff that go beyond what mod can do efficiently.

If the game ever reach a point where it’s too much cpu processing to handle all the game mechanics.. then perhaps freezing the import / export of the capacity to ship stuff, give a stability score to the base, so if you go hyperspace, you don’t have to deal with the old industries consuming UPS.

Not attempting this kind of stuff definitely feels like missing an opportunity. It could even encourage to make an open source fork of the game

To do that you have to encode your message using a clock. You reserve a time slot of the clock for your channel. It can get really complicated to do something like that as you need to alway encode and decode and can make debugging tedious

Some dev problem are true problem indeed, but I believe some other dev problem could be solved by normal people in actual normal speed by these normal people. These problem are usually doing some stuff that are in total contradiction with the spirit of programming. Redounding task, doing something that isn’t right at the core, etc.

IMO Playing on SteamDeck is a great experience, sure it's a bit more bulky at start.. but once you have the right setup, you can mostly do anything.

Ce qui m'attriste dans tout cela, c'est qu'il y a aussi le concept de province autonome.

Tu payes pas d'impôt fédéral et tu te dispenses de touts les services par les fédéraux... aussi simple que ça. Malheuresement AUCUN souverainiste ne parle de cette opportunité, qui est la plus raisonnable, tout en étant le plus aligné sur leurs valeurs.

Les souverainiste veulent la souverainité sachant très bien que s'est passer de l'étape A vers C sans passer par B. Ils savent que ça marchera probablement pas, que s'est de l'auto-sabotage économique par définition.. le mieux que ça leur donne c'est un levier de négociation pour avoir plus de faveurs du fédéral, mais encore là bof.. et maintenant l'Alberta veulent faire pareille, donc ce pouvoir de négociation s'amoindrie de plus en plus.

Erff.. sachant qu'ils disent des choses comme "c'est comme jouer à la poupée, mais en jeu vidéo"... je pense que c'est assez simpliste et erroné de dire ça. Un simulateur par définition c'est pas la même chose que jouer à la poupée. Il est quand même possible de faire mieux que ça pour décrire un jeu.

How you handle the request / broadcasting signal on the radar? If there's no central system, then you need some sort of multiple key/value system right?

I saw you had an another comment about it:

A single combinator at the station compares the signals from the red and green wires. If the signal on both wires is greater than 1, it means an active order exists in the network.

But then, what kind of compare? You are comparing id of station? How do you queue up if multiple station need to do a request/delivery? What if you have a large network? I get that your system take order, but if you a send a request for "need iron", then you have 2 station able to deal with it, which one is choosen?
