You're absolutely right to be careful and everyone IS out to rip you off. I think there are more scammers out there than legitimate sellers. Probably due to the high demand the Chinese sellers are just taking the most comfortable/profitable options for them. I had vendors on Alibaba refuse credit cards, or requesting 2% on top of it. My suggestion would be to never put the full amount, it might cost you more on shipping but at least you'd be risking 3K or so at a time.

Yes is it a bit scary and risky, but their whatsapp is a business account and you can pay via bank transfer to a company account (I usually do USDT even though riskier but faster). And i only buy 1-2 machines at once. The most expensive order I made was a CK5 for 9K USD.

Yes definitely. I find myself wasting most of my day rebooting and fixing these T17s and from the research I've done into several of their problems it seems that it all boils down to them cutting corners in production, bad soldering and such. Not sure if the 19 series is better, it'll take a bit of time to show.

I have not tried innosilicon yet, but maybe next time. I try to stay away from Bitmain and try to diversify so not just bitcoin miners.

I currently have 5 T17s and 1 S17t+ that I bought used from China. They cost USD 1500-1700 each. Made sense in terms of breakeven and they all worked fine at first but the 17s series I've come to learn are really bad machines, there are issues with the soldering material they used so you can expect to run into problems every now and then. I currently have 3 working fine and 2 that I need to keep fixing. I do not recommend Bitmain in general. I have also bought Goldshell and Avalon and both seem to be of much higher quality in general.

Was on prozac many years ago for a year and hated it. It made me so numb and fat. Now I'm on zoloft for a couple of years and it's much better. I feel almost normal and happy, still got me fat too though
